  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My SX telluride is ordered on Dec 5 by the dealer and I am looking for black with brown interiors.I wanted to know what is the delivery period of the telluride SX.

Welcome. Wait time is dealer dependent. Your sales person should have gave you an approximate ETA. Normal wait time could range from 3 months to 10 months, unless you've purchased an incoming dealer allotment.

Dealer told me technically for SX model they say 6months to the customer but within 3-4months they will have it.

That sounds about right. Good luck!

Telluride will be mazda cx5 for me and I am excited to drive this new long awaited new machine from Kia.I have been following her for past one year and now decide to get one.

The next thing to expect with your order is when will your order with the dealer be accepted by Kia for production. You can find more in depth details throughout the forums, but the general process is that around the middle of each month Kia provides each dealer with their allotment for the month (e.g. 4 SXs, 3 EXs, 5 Ss, 4 LXs). The dealer has their own order list that they manage and Kia then picks up the orders in a first in first out approach based on the monthly allotment they have provided. At that point, your dealer will have a better ETA to provide to you.

Welcome!

I got a call from my dealer in Ottawa that telluride SX black with brown interiors is received and they called me for finance procedure on friday so lead time is a months and half against 3 months said by the dealer.

Anybody can explain how this happened.Did Kia increased production.

Since Ontario has stay at home orders.Am I allowed to go the dealer for my Telluride.I can't wait to see my Telluride.

Many Canadians have reported a faster delivery time than in the US. I'm not exactly sure why. There is a different allocation system here though.

It's not clear how "essential" is defined in Ontario, but I would say that picking up a car would be fine. Get them to send you the paperwork and do it all online (I'm assuming the whole purchase deal has already been settled, but if you're now into dealership fees, you can manage that on the phone rather than in the dealership.) The dealer may offer contactless home delivery of your car though, so check into that. The ones around me are doing online paperwork and car delivery.

Finally the wait is over I got the VIN no and car delivery date, which is Thursday Jan 28.

I want to ask you all.How benificial is to buy extra protection which includes 10yrs rust,6yrs paint and 6yrs leather seat protection 5 yrs tires, rims and keys ,road hazard etc plus life time oil and filter change with labour at no cost.

Sorry no cost is only for oil and filter change with labour charges for life time but rest of the protection package and road hazard has cost associated to it

That seems high to me but it’s your wallet. Need to figure out what works best for you.

No I'm asking is it beneficial to buy extra protection like that because dealer was saying that rust protection is not included in the 5 yrs limited warranty plan.
I just read that rust is covered for 5yrs and paint is covered for 3yrs in limited kia warranty

If you live in a rust prone area; it might be worth it.

I was suppose to get delivery on Thursday Jan 28 but I got a call from my dealer that there was mistake at their end that my telluride is still in transit and ETA is Feb5.It was shocking to hear when all the paper was signed on Friday 21 and dealer was sleeping rather that checking and confirming VIN no in stock.

Is there any way to track the delivery through VIN and also to know the interior and exterior color through VIN.

I am surprised that dealer had 3 day after signing the paper.work to deliver the car and also he has to put winter tires he was sleeping all these days and woke up all of a sudden when person is on the way to get his delivery.
