Was in a car accident with my Telluride😡

Hopefully not stuck in a Rio Rental Rocket until the parts show up!

The Rio is definitely no Telluride but honestly the 2020 Rio is a great little car for not much money at all. I can get 40 MPG in my Rio pretty easily. That is pretty good and it has a surprising amount of room especially in the trunk.

But yea, I would be upset if I was paying Telluride money to drive the Rio.

Good evening everyone, I just got my truck back Today Caliber collisions in Essex Maryland did a wonderful job. They made my Telluride look the same way as when I drove off the lot with it four months ago. The first four is what the body shop fixed, the last one is from the accident. Good luck for those who get in an accident, since this is a new vehicle sometimes it takes time to get the parts in. Hopefully no one has to go through this.

Definitely ask for diminished value. Hopefully it's not too late. Reason I say that is that when you go to trade in / sell, etc.. You will get destroyed if there is a record on Carfax that shows airbag deployment. Diminished value should cover the difference in what you would sell your car for if it had no record of accident vs. one that shows an accident. Likely several thousand dollars, but you may need an attorney depending.

As I said before I was in car accident and broke my leg. Now I am into hospital and have already contacted with lawyer from JaeLeeLaw because I want to submit lawsuit to the court to get some compensation for my treatment from the violator of the accident.

I feel your pain. I hit a deer a few weeks ago with my new Telluride. The damage was $9500 but I took it to a good shop and it looks like it did when I bought it.

I would be interested to see how the diminished value discussion turns out as well. Once the CarFax shows front collision with air bag deployment, value is lowered. People want to buy cream puffs, and shy away from any car with any accident history. Air bag deployment is worse. Ask a dealer for a trade in estimate for your car with the history, and how much value has been lost. Now if you are like me, and you keep a car for 10 years, it doesn't matter so much.

I was pulling into our local library when a lady backed out and hit my rear drivers side door, 3700 miles on the Telle. Went to a friend who runs an excellent body shop, he explained the potential fixes the insurance company would consider- bondo filling, a new "skin" ( outer shell of door reattached), or a new "door" ( in reality the metal frame with all the pieces and mechanisms transferred). He stated that a new car should have the last most expensive option. When it was completed he showed me the old door pieces and where the stress points were on the frame, very interesting and informative. $2600+ and my car looks great again. He state that Kia makes a very good product!

I recently hit a deer, caused $9300 in my new Telluride. Took the car to a great body shop here in Atlanta and it looks like new again.
