What are the odds the dealer will agree to pay $ towards TT&L?

Slim to none. The absolute best deal I have seen is getting @ MSRP + Delivery fee + TT&L

When I asked the salesman if he could do anything about the sticker price, he said, "I can read it to you". With the low inventory and microchip shortage, some dealers are ADDING to the sticker price (between $3-5K) just because they can. I got $400 discount for military.

$500 deposit upon ordering which was applied as a down payment at delivery. NY law mandates that deposits are fully refundable if you change your mind.

Ordered on 9/18. Stickered vehicle already in transit. Estimated delivery on 10/7. Arrived 9/27, PDI and Delivery on 9/28.

Kia of Columbia MO sells at msrp, and only $199 document fee. Purchased an 2022 SX from them. Great dealership.

Are the add-ons mandatory and how much?

By add-ons, I mean the typical stuff like the protective coatings, rust proofing, supplemental warranty, gap insurance, dealer rewards program. Nothing mandatory and it was not a pressure sales pitch. When I said no, they were done.

NY State allows up to $170 Doc Fee which they are obligated to disclose up front during negotiations, which isn’t a surprise. Standard stuff in my opinion. Everything else was on the sticker, on the order sheet, and at “closing”.

As per above, Murray and Sussman Kia near Philadelphia both sell at MSRP. I bought at Murray and was very happy with my 3-month turnaround, but I hear the wait is a bit longer now. Sussman quoted me a shorter time but this was after I already had an order.

Huffines Kia in McKinney, TX is offering 2022 new order Tellurides for MSRP including options (+$1,225 destination charge which is sticker price). No dealer requirements and no dealer markups. They are quoting 3-5 months delivery and they don’t care how you pay, cash, their financing or your financing is same price.

The name of the salesperson who quoted me this is Levani. I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on an SX + nightfall + prestige

That’s exactly where I ordered mine! Great service and transparency so far. Tentative October 25th delivery.

We are at Kia of Clarksville Indiana. We do $1000 over MSRP $199 Doc Fee $315 Title/license and then your state specific Sales tax. $1000 Deposit to order and 10-16 week ETA

I would argue that they are not adding to the price just “because” they can, but because they are selling less cars because fewer are being produced, which means they are likely making less money. If they raise the price of the car they make probably the same they would if they were selling a lot of cars and not marking them. I could be wrong, it could be that they are still making less money even after marking them up.

Another thing to think about, more people are coming to dealerships in bigger cities from other parts of the state or country because inventory is so low. This means dealerships are less likely to be able to sell extended warranties especially if those warranties apply specifically to their own dealership. Other area where they can’t make additional revenue. Their only option really is to do add-ons. At least that’s how I figure it.

All nightfalls (EX and SX) come with the square-pattern wheels. I love the way they look on my Dark Moss. Some people really like their bicycle spoke black wheels from normal SX/SX-P (non-nightfall).
