Do you have firsthand experience with this? I haven't heard of too many people getting a Telluride off the lot at MSRP.That's not true. You can get one at MSRP if you shop around.

Many people have tried shopping around for hundreds of miles. If you've seen a new one of these let go off a lot (and not pre-ordered) for MSRP and with no dealer markup or insane fees, I'd love to see it.That's not true. You can get one at MSRP if you shop around.
Same thing happened to me with a dealership in UT. Didn’t bother me as a planned to pay cash and interest on the the 5 months I carried the loan amounted to a little over $100.So after searching for a few days, I finally found the exact build I wanted (Wolf Gray SX, Black int, with Nightfall, Prestige, and towing) about 4 hours away. Estimated delivery is 3 weeks. They agreed to sell at MSRP (about $51k) with no add-ons, however they are stipulating that I must use their financing (not KMF) or pay cash. Should this raise any red flags? Is it normal practice? I am prepared to pay cash if necessary but I was originally planning on financing through my credit union.
Which dealer did you go to?Well, I finally got mine today ordered. 6 to 8 weeks until delivery. I got the prestige custom in Pearl white with dune brown interior Napa leather. Adding some accessories, plus the towing package with the auto leveling, the MSRP was, $48625. Got $1000 off that, plus current incentives. Options are leasing it for $588, 12k/year with $2500 down, or $690 for 75 months with 5k down to purchase it. If delivery manages to be before April 30th, I’ll be able to get the founders discount of one month of payment by Kia, otherwise I hope May incentives are better. Fingers crossed.
What was the name of the dealership ?I ordered mine today! Ended up going with the Moss w/Dune Brown SX w/Prestige AWD, $46,215 out the door w/the following accessories at no cost: Illuminated scuff plates, all weather mats w/trunk liner, cargo net, rear bumper protection, and side steps at dealer cost. The rebates I got were the 1000 competitor and 400 military off MSRP. Not much of a discount and I shopped 8 dealers, most had the vehicle priced at an average 5k above MSRP when I see those side stickers I walk away. I did not pay tax as I'm a disable vet in GA. 1.9 @ 60. The nice thing is that the dealer is letting me drive a Sorento SX while the order comes in which is roughly 60 days away.
Yes. I was able to find a 2022 "S" less than a month ago for MSRP.Do you have firsthand experience with this? I haven't heard of too many people getting a Telluride off the lot at MSRP.
I was able to get a 2022 "S" for MSRP less than a month ago. Found exactly what I was looking for on failcat for one that was already on the way to the dealer and got it for MSRP. Got pretty lucky. Not saying the same will be in other regions. Got lucky with a small dealership who wasn't doing any markups, at least on the "S". I wasn't looking for the higher trim levels. Many people have tried shopping around for hundreds of miles. If you've seen a new one of these let go off a lot (and not pre-ordered) for MSRP and with no dealer markup or insane fees, I'd love to see it.
I also ordered one at MSRP in the twin cities recently! Can't vouch for the other person, but I've got one on order at MSRP. Twin Cities area.
What is there to discuss? That’s a deal breaker if ever there was one.Discussions are still on to take them off.![]()
Exactly! What happens a month or two from now when you go to pick it up? Would you walk after all time if suddenly the dealer added a couple thousand in extras? What is there to discuss? That’s a deal breaker if ever there was one.
Take your deposit back if you need to and order from somewhere else before you fall even further back in line. Cut your losses at 1 months time lost.
Those two statements contradict each other. Either two thousand extra dollars come out of your pocket or they don’t.Dealer is committed to sell it on MSRP, I came to know about the add-ons when I saw the copy of the order
Agreed! I will talk to the GM and close it. Other issue is that rest of the dealers within 100 miles radius are asking for 4K-8K markup over MSRP, and I am thinking to negotiate on the add-ons and close the deal in my favor. Those two statements contradict each other. I would. I have waited 6 months for my ELS AWD N/p with Dune Brown. Picking up 8/24/21. When i get there, if they have added any extras,i'm walking. I'll let you know. PS: I'm only adding Gap InsuranceExactly! What happens a month or two from now when you go to pick it up? Would you walk after all time if suddenly the dealer added a couple thousand in extras?
Not a bad idea if supply evens out and the values tank, in the event of a total. Covers your butt for the difference between current value and what’s left on the loan. Why are you adding GAP insurance?
Saved my ass when I was just out of College and bought a car that was wrecked within the first year. Well worth it especially when a car is brand new and you have a big loan and the value off the lot depreciated day 1. Those days might come back quicker than anyone might think. Not a bad idea if supply evens out and the values tank, in the event of a total.
