If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What discounts is everyone seeing so far?

meh that stinks, almost makes it a wash when your stuck financing at 4.9% if you do the 1500 rebate. The Telluride promotions are really disappointing. Really hope the founders club is real
Rebates are put on vehicles to help them sell. The Telluride needs no help. Most educated car buyers take the rebate and pay it off aggressively to cut out the finance charges.

While that's true im just not impressed by the discounts.

Well you can't have your cake and eat it too...

Very true. Another question I'd ask is what vehicle are you shopping against the Telluride? Yes they may have bigger discounts but they also cost $15k-$20k more. You could wait for the discounts or purchase one without the huge discounts and is still the best value in its class.

My opinion is the Telluride is superior to the list. You might want to add the Sorento to your list. I'm thinking of sticker prices of some of the competitors and generally they are more expensive. You may want to lease one of those vehicles then come back for your best value.

I actually built a Telluride, loaded and a Subaru Ascent and the Telluride is actually $1100 MSRP higher. I have posted the screenshots of the builds in another thread. When the Ascent was released they were selling at or above MSRP much like the Tellurides will for a bit. Ascents can now be had around invoice quite easily since there is stock to be sold. So, the competition is not necessarily more and depending on the market other brands may hold their resale better since KIA still may have a stigma that follows the brand from years past. I can assure you in our market that KIA and Hyundai are the 2 quickest depreciating brands. I imagine that will change as their reputation changes.

Don’t say that on KIA forum lol
I mean I know a lot of ppl here love their KIAs but let’s be real they still have long ways to be compared to others. Couple tech add one still can’t replace years and years of presence..

The demand is high. I know local dealers that add an extra $10k to the price of their vehicles. We dont use this practice because we are a volume dealer. If you are shopping certain luxury brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc. with the Telluride you will see a higher price then the Kia product. I assume most are shopping mid major brands like Honda, Toyota, Kia, etc. You will see similar pricing. Everyone on this forum is an educated buyer so obviously they will do their research before making a purchase. I wasn't clear on my comment about $15k-$20k higher price earlier but I've had customers shopping luxury brands with the Kia Telluride.

I am in the same boat as you. But only been shopping for 4 months. Still another 4 feels like forver.
For me, it's down to the Honda Pilot Elite Trim or the Telluride SX.
Honda is agressive in discounts to where I'm getting similar feature set and similar price to the Telluride with the Pilot.
I'll probably test drive the Telluride this week and then decide between the two.
The difference in treatment at dealerships is quite stark already. Kia dealerships are just so much worse than Honda. Honda treats me so well. Low pressure. Honest communication. No smoke. No mirrors. At Kia the experience has been so poor so far that I'm not sure I can suffer the process.
Pilot isnt even half as roomy or as comfortable as the telluride! Plus all the sweet standard stuff:) The pilot has that horrible push button shifter too and no standard sunroof...
Can’t wait to get my telluride! We’ve been looking for 2 years. Almost bought the pilot a few weeks ago and for some reason I thought maybe I’ll just wait for that new Kia. SO GLAD I DID!!

Some of us do that. I test drove the Subaru Ascent on Memorial Day weekend last year. I figure I will have my current car another 2 years, unless a really good deal appears. I am hoping to drive the Telluride in the next few months. I really don't want to go into our local dealership until the Telluride has been around long enough for them to have stock...they are REALLY PUSHY...seriously, crazy pushy. If a clean loaded CPO arrives of the cars I am considering then I may jump on it within 2 years.

My current ride is paid off in a month or 2 and I am hoping to hang onto it for a while to put that money aside. Instead of trading this time, I intend to just purchase another vehicle. They will not be making the Flex any longer and the last time I traded one off for a different vehicle, I missed it and ordered a new one within 4 months. If I keep this Flex and cannot find another daily driver that I LOVE, I can still take my Flex out for a road trip now and then to remember how good I had it.

I largely hang around the forums to see what people like, don't like, challenges they are having. This way in a year or two, I know if initial release bugs have been worked out and if I find a used one, I will know what to look for. I would guess that this Forum will start to fill up with owner questions and some common challenges in the next few months once deliveries increase. I am willing to bet there is going to be a few small issues to work out. I have seen that some of the other cars have had common complaints about the infotainment and other software stuff on 1st releases. The good thing with that is it is simple firmware updates. Plus, maybe KIA will be releasing a turbo version or toss in a V8 for a sport version. I would really like to see a bit more HP and a significant increase in torque based on specs. Maybe my mind will change once I drive it. For towing up to 5K, I really would like to see more torque. Either give us more HP/Torque or better mileage.

If you really really really have to have a Telluride "now" just go for it. Pay MSRP and enjoy the car. I read somewhere the Telluride factory capacity is around 5000 units/month. You can take it to the bank once that production cranks up and dealers have 20 or 30 in stock, not 5 or 6 they will be a lot more receptive. Give it till early summer at least....

If you shop around, you can get it for under MSRP. It helps to have quite a few dealers around you. Here in Cincy, we have 6 within an hour of us, so pitting them against each other is easy to do.

Well I emailed 2 dealers today after visiting and test driving with one and meeting the other one last saturday. What I'm looking for is an S Trim with AWD at $35,800 before Taxes and Doc fees with the Promotional 1.9% financing at 60 months and $8000 for my trade(a trade-in value that all other dealers agreed to give us with some going up to $8,500). If they can't do this then I think I'm going to go ahead and get the Honda Passport. I don't think my demands are that outrageous. $2000 discount with 1.9% at 60 months KMF rate.

I saw some S models with special incentives at my dealer. I'm not sure where you are located, but let me find them and I'll come back and post links.

Its probably the 3 rebates. $1,000 for loyalty kia discount, $1,000 competitive trade in rebate, and a $1,500 rebate if you finance with kia with a shitty rate. lol

Ahhhh, I think you are correct. It's $1500 off and you can get 1.9% but only for 42 or 48 months. I thought it was for 60 until I opened the link.

Hmm Interesting. I was told that you can only get the $1,500 rebate for financing with Kia Motors finance at non promotional rates. So they might have not told the truth. This looks like I could get 1.9% at 48 months and $1,500 off. Thanks for sharing this!!
