• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... what's your gas mileage so far?

🤖 AI Summary

No AI summary has been generated for this thread yet.
I’m now at about 6200 mi in my AWD SX. Computer says 23.5 mpg cumulative. I do probably 60% with highway driving. If I get in a tailwind from Fargo to Minneapolis on I94, I can get about 30mpg at 75 mph. Way better than my previous Durango!

Wow, my mileage is running much lower than everyone else. I am on my second tank of gas with city driving during rush hours and have an average of 16.9 with a little over 400 miles so far. I run it in Eco mode.

I have been a bit underwhelmed with my mileage..I’m hoping because it’s brand new..I have 836 miles on my SX FWD and am rarely seeing anything above 23mpg...most the time in the 19-21mpg range. I have been babying this thing as well. Driving it like a grandma in eco or smart mode..never making it downshift & VERY RARELY making it rev above 4K especially for this break in period..I’m not sure what the problem is with my MPGS...I start sooo slow off the line that people prob hate being behind me..I just don’t get it. I’m hoping thing will improve.

I see you guys posting these stellar numbers and I’m over here grandma-ing my Telly in hopes of something remotely close..
Same here. With a little over 400 miles of city traffic in Eco mode I'm getting 16.9 overall.

You need to have that checked out! I am averaging 23-25 mpg overall in mixed rural-highway driving over 5,500 miles in my AWD. Up to 30-plus on the open highway in ECO mode.

With 4867 miles (95+% highway) and A/C running 75% of the time, averaging 29.4. Also use Fuelly and it’s showing 28.4.

Have had the car for 600 miles and averaging 21.3 cumulative. SXP AWD, mostly city driving in eco mode. This current tank of gas is averaging 23.7.

Update. I took a trip from Tucson to Phoenix last weekend and am glad to report that I averaged 29.4 for the trip. It even included stop and go on the way home for an accident. My in city mileage has been roughly 22.5 now. Telluride mileage.webp

I had a 160 mile ride from the dealer in Tucson to my home west of Phoenix, and even though I was varying my speed between 75-80 mph, I averaged 32.5 mpg. I've only had the car for a week but we've been averaging >29 mpg. This is mostly highway, but is a pleasant surprise; much better than I was expecting! (EX FWD)
