• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone have any suggestions for decent quality aftermarket carpeted floor mats, with heel protection, that will fit our beasts while we wait for the Maxliners and Weathertechs of the world to release their options?

The very 1st place that any aftermarket mats will show up that are "Fitted" will be Ebay… I had to buy some off there for my wife's SUV and they were actually pretty decent....

Try ExactMats.com. Already bought mine and they just added the Telluride to their website. They are clear fitted car mats with heel protection. They are used in all of my vehicles.

Awesome - thanks ! I never heard of them before.

Would these leave the little hole marks in the original carpet?

Hmmmm those ExactMats are just basically chair mats for office chairs that have been cut to fitthe space. Yuck. If you do like them why not just go to OfficeMax and buy the same square for $24 that would cover at least the front seats and another for the rear seats and cut it yourself. Plus they have other colors like black. These also have no lip to catch any debris.

Yep, those are truly awful. Had weather tech liners in the Enclave I traded in. Certainly not as plush as carpet but I’ll be damed if the carpet underneath them didn’t look brand new after almost a decade of use.

After years of rushing to buy the best mats and covering absolutely everything ASAP, I have finally relaxed into using the OEM's in the summer and good coverage rubber ones for the winter.
Who cares if my carpet is pristine after 10 years? Spent a lot of my early years "Saving" things so that the next buyer could get the good out of my efforts.... Not any more, when I sell it used, it will be used.... and we will have enjoyed our vehicle fully.

Saving stuff never really brought me noticeably more money in the end as they just go by book value anyways...

I tend to agree, but I had rubber mats in my LR4 and with constant upkeep on the vehicle and keeping it looking pristine, I got on the high end of KBB for it. Now it did help that I do not have kids mucking up the vehicle. I'm torn on what to get for the Telluride. The OEM carpet mats look good, will have to see what other all-weather options arise when the bitterness of winter arrives here in So Cal.

Are these good/worth it?
For sure. They fit good and look good and should be easy to clean. They are also thicker and better quality than even weather tech. You may be able to get them cheaper thru other sites or from your dealer. If you haven't purchased already or gotten your Telluride I'd ask your dealer to swap these for the carpet ones that you'll be charged for regardless.

Mine came with the OEM all weather mats and I love them! They look good, are functional and cleaning is super easy. I’m not sure what the price on weathertech will be but I’m sure they’re a little more pricey.

Here's where I got mine and yes, they're awesome. Also got the one for the back cargo area. Better than WeatherTech IMO.
