• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Since it’s gotten cold, when starting up the vehicle there’s a wining sound. Today is - 1 F , I started the engine using the app, it ended after a minute and the whining sound was whirring that whole minute.

Is this normal ?
Isn’t it just the belt stressing because of the cold weather ?
My Tell is a 22 LX , awd, 34888 miles.

I check the Kia app and it says no issues found so I was curious. First time having an suv. My sedan starts up in the cold and is absolutely fine, no sound.

I have video but not sure how to attach.

This has been an issue for years. No solution from Kia. I'm on my second Telluride that does this.

YES!
I have a 2021 SXP and it's been in the shop several times over the past couple years for a squealing noise when it's started in colder weather. The dealership has it right now and they've had it for the past month. They replaced the A/C Compressor, a couple pulleys, the belt, and most recently, the alternator. I went to pick it up today, only to have it start squealing again. I'm so pissed. I have been driving a loaner car (2023 KIA Forte GT-Line) for the past month. I am not happy with KIA!!
