• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey everyone. I finally got my telly last Wednesday. I’ve had it a little over a week and I’ve noticed that when I’m driving I hear some type of faint whistling or whining noise. It sounds like it’s coming from the front right side of the vehicle.
If I take my foot off the accelerator and coast I can kind of hear it more?
Anyone had this issue?

Crossbars installed incorrectly can cause a whistle.

Are any of your climate vents closed? They can cause a whistle if so when the fan is blowing. I always try to divert the fans upward when I don’t want direct airflow pointed at me, but my wife loves to shut the vents instead.

I have the whistling you’re talking about with the vents! This noise seems to be coming from the outside of the car!

Have you already checked all the windows and sunroofs are completely closed? Can you still hear it if you intentionally open the window or sunroof?

Unless you meant the issue was indeed the vents.
