Will the Telluride drive itself in slow traffic (including steering)?

What is the difference between AUTO and just regular HDA?

AUTO Changes cruise control speed setting. If you are on a highway and the speed limit is 65 then you turn on cruise control and set it at 65 the AUTO indicator will turn on. Now you enter an area where the speed limit drops to 55, the car will automatically make that adjustment to cruise control and drop the setting to 55.

But if you want to go faster than speed limit, HDA will still work right? It just wont change speed for you. (which only difference between HDA and SCC is the ability to resume after longer than 3 sec. stop?)

I successfully set my cruise to 67 in a 65 zone.

Of course you can set your speed higher then the limit. Then HDA does auto stop/go but no automatic changes to the SCC speed setting.

From what I can tell the only 2 additional functions you get with HDA is auto stop/go and speed adjustments on highways. Personally I think this is basically just the first release of HDA and they will add features over time. They are establishing the name of their feature set by releasing it now. Much like Tesla has named their driving assistant "Autopilot", Kia is going with "Highway Driving Assistant (HDA)".
