In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Wind noise

Yes I get frustrating wind noise on driver's side even going at low speed. Brought it to dealer 3 times already and issue still unresolved. Dealer replaced the rubber seal around the driver door. Same problem exists. No wonder it's a KIA ! Paid almost 40k for it and now stuck w/ it for life !

You are not stuck, it falls under lemon law if they can’t fix it.

We have the trim issue on both driver and passenger side coming loose. Good news is dealer will replace it under warranty.

My question is what is the Telluride cabin supposed to sound like when going 50mph and faster. Ours sounds like a window is slightly cracked or as my wife says like inside an airplane. I hear on the Facebook group how quiet the Telluride is . . .but I need to see videos of what a quiet one sounds like. Can anyone post videos of their super quiet Telluride at 50 mph and 70 mph.
I have the same problem. I have an SX sportage 2020 and I’ve noticed the wind is coming from the panoramic sunroof in the front. I push it closed with my hand harder after it “closes” and it stops. But I can’t keep pressure on it. I shouldn’t have to. The moonroof isn’t closing hard enough and sealing. Only in cold temperatures I’ve noticed and over 50mph

No noise on my SX trim, and folks aren't complaining about the Limited trim on Palisade. Perhaps only on lower trims for some reason? I thought the Palisade SEL I drove was louder than my SX.
Not an expert on all of the trims and thier details, but speculating an idea.

Maybe the door seals are speced to work with the acoustic glass and the normal glass. Tight on the acoustic glass = no noise and a bit loose on the normal glass = noise?

Also an SX owner and no issue.

I think because there is a difference in the type of window glass in the SX trims are doubled and it has sound mute sign..
you can check

only the front windows have the noise reduction coating/panel. You can tell just by tapping on the window with you knuckle or a piece of plastic. The front sound muted with a thud while the rear windows have a hollow ting. The wind noise we've heard comes from the second row windows.

In the 2020's, both the SX and EX have acoustic glass in the windshield and in the front door windows. I assume it'll be that way for the 2021's, too.

If they made it an option I would buy acoustic glass for the second row, I wonder if you can get them from an aftermarket comp. The noise reduction is so worth it

I suspect Chip Foose could afford tp have rear door windows fabricated, but us - not so much! <:)

I found this forum because we were hearing a wind noise on driver’s side. We finally saw the seat fan was on. Middle console, upper right side. Might help somebody else.

I had the same problem, sounds like Le a high pitch whistle. You can fix it, but it requires some work. I bought a package of Frost King self stick weather seal window insulation. Size: 5/16” w x 1/4” h x 17’ . Tear it in half lengthwise and fit into the v slot of the rubber seal on the door frame. This will help and keep the seal from collapsing when the door is shut. I also ended up doing the same thing with the other rubber seal on the door, consequently, no more whistle. It takes about 12 ft. of the seal to go around the circumference for each rubber seal.

I have a 2020 S, it's my wife's so I rarely drive it. The noise I hear isn't an air leak but the noise you hear of wind rolling over a body panel that isn't completely aerodynamic. Long story short it's the 3 fins or whatever you call them on the rear view mirror inside, outer (vehicle front) shell. If i pull the mirror completely in the noise changes. I rigged some 2" painters tape over the assembly to make it all smooth and the noise goes away. So, IMO it's a design flaw (yes I took the tape back off).

I have wind noise on my 2020 LX Telluride too, and I have been trying to figure out where it's coming from. There is the normal wind noise that I don't really like but I consider acceptable / unavoidable, and there is a higher pitched whistle that I don't consider acceptable (and it kind of drives me crazy.)

I haven't done anything to cover the three fins (I will have to look more closely - I didn't notice those on my mirror, but I will definitely check), but I did use some electrical tape (stretchy / moldable and easy to remove - can leave some residue but it's pretty easy to clean off) to cover up various seams on the drivers side of the vehicle.

The biggest difference so far is from wrapping the seam where the mirror body attaches to the mirror mount. (What allows the mirror to fold inward) I wrapped the full 360 degrees of this seam with the electrical tape starting / ending on the trailing edge of the mirror so the wind doesn't peel the tape off. I noticed a significant reduction in the high pitched whistle noise, but I really need to repeat the test a few times because the noise isn't always there (it seems to happen with cross winds and definitely higher vehicle speeds).

I also taped off a lot of other door seals, including the top horizontal seam for the passenger door - where the top of the door meets the roof. Also the vertical seam between the door and the C pillar. These seemed to have some effect too, but maybe less for whistling and more for general wind noise.

As I mentioned, part of the issue seems to be cross winds - Colorado is prone to windy days, so not much I can do about that. Some people have suggested that the upper trims (with the acoustic glass in the front windows) are less noisy, which probably does make a big difference generally, but I wonder how well it would block the whistling noise.

It seems that not many people are experiencing the whistling noise, which I don't really understand. I would think it would be pretty universal unless there are differences between the side mirrors, door seals or door/window moldings between trims. Maybe there was a design change at some point? Maybe there is an assembly / tolerance issue that plays a role. Whatever it is I will say that it's one of the few disappointing things about the car. While I'm complaining, the other thing that is absolutely maddening is that the garage door opener only works while the car is on. As soon as you turn the car off it ceases to work - no grace period (like with the radio continuing to run)...I think it should at least have a grace period, and really should probably work whenever the key is in proximity. Every time I pull into the garage I shut the car off and try to close the garage door...You'd think I would have learned by now, but it's been almost 2 years....I do it every time. Maddening.

I can deal with the lack of functioning garage door after the vehicle is off. The lack of illumination on said garage door buttons is what is truly maddening.

Agreed - the lack of illumination is an glaring oversight. One thing the Sienna did better for sure. I have gotten used to it, though.

Ok ‘my’ wind noise is now almost unnoticeable after installing the Kia brand bug deflector. So in my situation it’s definitely drag.

Has anybody out there utilized the lemon law due to excessive wind noise???Anybody?

Wonder what seat fan has to do with wind noise coming from window...

Where did you buy bug deflector or are you in sales for Telluride?

If you think I’m a salesman you obviously didn’t read my previous posts.
