Thanks. How pointless.View attachment 13909
Attached is the installation pdf from mapnsoft.
This was a feature added from the very first v14 update. You need to have your phone unplugged from the USB port. Go to phone projection settings in UVO > Android Auto and enable split screen.android screen is somewhat better but still not sharing its screen but everything else is just plain weird.
Yea I realized that. I setup another profile and selected another view and it still went to the 3D screen. Oh well.I mentioned that unfortunately doesn’t do anything for the home screen back in post 144. All that preference does is pick how your regular map is initially set up.
Setup > Vehicle > Drive mode change alert > detailed/simple/off.
It shouldn’t be for AWD only. My wife’s Palisade has it and hers is FWD.
Nope not on mine. I only have Climate, Seat, and Lights in that menu. I have a 2020 SX FWD.I mentioned that unfortunately doesn’t do anything for the home screen back in post 144. All that preference does is pick how your regular map is initially set up.

I just finished the general update. It took about 3hra. I'd do the quick update if you haven't. Also it makes everything purple and threw all my presets into the Guest profileWas going to install the update and when I started it gave me the following options that were not explained in the instructions. Which should I choose? What is the difference?
Thanks
- Quick Update
- General Update
- Scheduled Update

Step one: are you *sure* you want to update? A lot of (most?) people who have posted in this thread dislike the new version.Quick question....since I'm new to the "do it yourself" update process: Once I have the update on my USB drive, how long does it take to install the update into the vehicle?? Thanks......
Good point....I'm not exactly sure, but I'm not concerned if I lose presets, etc...... can reenter those. If there are really good benefits to the update, then I would probably do it.Step one: are you *sure* you want to update? Read through this thread. I'm not sure people have found benefits, and there's a lot of disappointment with the Purple Rain look, cheesy radio graphic and loss of widgets on the main screen.Good point....I'm not exactly sure, but I'm not concerned if I lose presets, etc...... can reenter those. about 30 minutes if you do the quick update and about 3 hours if you want to do the full install, which accomplishes the same thing but takes 6x longer. But only with the full update will you be filled with regret and feel the need to come back to this thread to warn others for the 100th time that they should be doing the quick update.Quick question....since I'm new to the "do it yourself" update process: Once I have the update on my USB drive, how long does it take to install the update into the vehicle?? But the increased risk of malware for unsupported version of Windows.Full disclosure - I still use Windows 7![]()

Overwhelmingly negative reviews of the update. If you don’t use 3 widgets on the home screen or use the preset buttons on the touchscreen for Radio, you probably would be perfectly fine with the update though.
