What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Sure, the dealer is KIA at Sansone Auto Mall. It's in Woodbridge, NJ. They said it would take 6 weeks and asked for a $2,500 deposit. I was surprised that they could order it because other dealers have said no. They are charging MSRP and no other markups like other dealers. There is a $599 doc fee along with Tags/Title and Taxes
thanks

Hello All,

New to the forum but not to research as I am trying to lock down a Telluride loaded SXP in Norcal. Aybody have any hot tips on good sales people with low or no ADM in Bay Area/NorCal?

Also it seems like everything on the Kia corporate website inventory is already spoken for with down payments? Any help with tactics is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jason
Hi Jason, I was in the same boat as you and could never get my timing right to be at the dealership when new stock was inbound fast enough before someone else snapped it up. In the end I found a dealership which ended up being in backyard as they say willing to place an order on an SXP with my colors and options. I am not sure how true this is but i was told that dealerships can place a couple of custom orders a month. My suggestion is that you poll some of your local dealers to see if they would be willing to put in a custom order at MSRP but no ADM. in essence this is fair since you still have to place a deposit, wait a couple of months for it and it's not inventory that they are sitting on. I am on the East coast and most of the dealers here are charging the additional markup over MSRP. I have seen the ADM from $2,500 to $10,000 over MSRP.

Good luck!

I am in the northeast and have been searching for a SX AWD P/N/T. Found a dealer that will sell at MSRP but requires Security Guard etching ($299) and Zurich shield ($1595) on all their vehicles. They have one coming in in early Feb and have a $1k deposit down.

Sticker Msrp: $50,090
Zurich Shield: $1,595
Doc Fee: $489
Security Guard: $299
MV Est Fees: $384.50
Sales Tax: $3676.70
Tire Tax: $7.50

Total Price: $56,541.70 OTD

Anyone have the etching and/or Zurich Shield? Are they worth it? Thoughts?

Never heard of Zurich shield.

it is interior and exterior lifetime insurance protection. Seems to have average reviews. They sell it on all their cars*. Thinking I can cancel after purchase if I want.

Thanks the feedback here. I am trolling 5 or so dealers now. Most are 5k even to order! I was like. Wtf.

Dealer stated that it would take three months for delivery; I am a bit hesitant because I don’t even know if Kia is still on delivery schedule I did see some stats come out yesterday stating that they built 78,000 units which is well above the 50 K target that they were forecasting for 2020. Other article stated 100,000 was there target for unit count but I do not believe they have increased capacity other Georgia plant to support.

would hate to order it and then have to wait six months like some of the very patient folks on this forum. ;). We’re going to head out to look at it today but definitely do not want to pay 8K over like The dealer is asking and stating he will not budge

I've been hunting for SXP in White on Gray for almost two years and no luck. So today I gave up and placed an order at a dealership in Woodbridge, NJ. I am paying MSRP of $50,060.
No additional markup
SX Trim $44,090
Snow White Pearl $495
Gray Nappa Leather Seat Trim $0
Carpeted Floor Mats $210
Illuminated Scuff Plates $310
Side Step Bars $690
SX Prestige Package $2,300
Towing Package $795
Destination $1,170
Anyone else notice the price increase on the following items on their website? Just noticed it recently....

SX Trim $44,090 -> now $44,390
Destination $1,170 -> now $1,225

car comes with a 10 year warranty and has great reviews so far for reliability, I don't think it's worth it

Not sure how the glass etching and the Zurich shield compare to a 10 year power train warranty or reliability 🤷‍♂️

I thought a bit more about this and believe it is worth it if the Zurich Shield provides comprehensive extended warranty coverage without a deductible and adds enough years over the manufacturer's comprehensive warranty. I come from the school of take care of your car and your car will take care of you but understand that not everyone has the time, knowledge or ability to do this which makes the extended warranty something to consider. How long is the Zurich Shield extending coverage for?

I am torn on it as well as I take care of my cars quite well. That said, This will also cover normal wear and tear/spills/etc. I should also add we have a 4 and 5 year old who certainly will certainly put the car interior through its paces. The warranty is lifetime and is transferable to future owners. I do believe there is a small deductible (~$100) for each incident.

Ok i just found the answer to my question, Zurich Shield is three year exterior and interior coverage of normal wear and tear. I would save the money and use it for good extended warranty on the engine and electronics of the car. Just my opinion

Your right... just saw it is ‘renewable in 3 year ncrements’

Preserve the look of your car with Zurich Shield® to reduce the signs of aging and protect against life's messy accidents. ... The limited warranty is renewable for life, in three year increments, with approval from APS and a reapplication of Zurich Shield® from an authorized dealer.

probably not worth it...

How long are u willing to wait? I ordered at MSRP at Hilltop but 4-6 month wait. Search the forum. I believe there are a few Cali dealers that charge over $10k but they spent 4 hours at the dealership and talked them down

I have contact info for a dealer at Carson who said lowest he could go was $2500 above MSRP on an SX and they have quite a few in stock
