Retrofit EX with SX LED headlights

Should apply a new coat of UV protectant to prevent it from getting hazy/yellow.

That’s the purpose of 3M clear coat.

Bulbs or the entire tail light assembly?

On the EX and SX the tail light assemblies are LED.

On the S and LX the tail lights are incandescent. I doubt it’ll be a direct swap.

The incandescent reverse bulb can be swapped to an LED with no issue.

Ya I wanted to change to led tail light assembly and change out lower bumper part. In Canada sx doesn't include led tail lights....

Ahhh understood. Even if the main plug that connects the body’s electrical to the tail light is identical I’d venture that there’s some level of voltage conversion element somewhere.

Looks great! Have you tried them at night? You’ll need a T60 Torx bit to adjust the beam. If you’re getting flashed, lower them until you’re not, or very little.

Machtig is a genius...please everyone who have lower models ex, s and lx should invest in the SX LED headlights swap from halogens for better visibility at night as it's a IIHS safety hazard or poor rating especially with Machtig wiring harness....it worked like a charm and was very helpful from start to finish...highly recommended...and just order the SX headlights from eBay...worth it all the way

Thank you! The harness does make it very simple, and the lighting improvement is substantial. Hardest part is pulling the bumper cover.

It’s literally a night and day difference. Even replacing the halogen bulbs with best LED bulbs on the market in the halogen projector housing don’t come close to the dual SX bulbs. To get close to the focused light output you’d have to do a complete retrofit ... and for that price, you could have the SX lights.

Awesome! Thank you sir. I only label the harnesses because of the way the wires lay and it makes for a cleaner installation; but they are swappable side to side if for some reason a person needed to do so for testing or what not.
