What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I just went to look at a White SX in Dothan,AL. They are demanding 5k over MSRP no negotiating. Ridiculous. I politely told the sales person I want it but don’t need it and will just wait till the supply is higher!
North Star Kia had same one last night. Msrp max. FYI.

Do you mind

Congrats! Do you mind letting us know what dealership you went with?

Call Riverchase Kia in Birmingham - Stan or Nick. They have a few on the lot, not sure if any were SX but they have 6 more coming in next week. They have an S and three EX on the lot now. They get a lot of EX and SX Just picked up my EX last night. Did everything by phone and email. Kia Autosport in Columbus is awesome too, but they didn't have what I wanted. They do offer free tires for life if you service your Kia with them. PM me for more info

Picked up my white/gray EX tonight. I’d been watching dealers within a 3 hour radius of us. Visited 3 of them but finally found this one two hours away. I talked, texted and emailed the salesman and told hiim a few days ago that I was moving on because of pricing. They called me this morning with $4000 off, plus $2500 in incentives. I waited til afternoon and ended up getting the all weather mats thrown in. All in all, I think I did ok. Love the car! Worth the drive!

4,000 off MSRP on an EX or 4000 off their market price? FWD version MSRPs at 38 so you are telling me discount + incentives your base sale price was like 31.5???? You made out like a bandit if that's the case was it a demo car or something?

White sx available right now at northeast Kia in Long Island city. Dealer just texted me. In case anyone is interested.
I called and was told the SX was sold at $57,900. Don't think I'm willing to pay that much over MSRP.

Seriously, I think this is overkill / BS ... this very person at this same dealer just sent me a text and an email yesterday offering me a Sangria SX with a VIN, but without a price. I already have my Telluride, so I didn’t reply. But why is he shopping for buyers if they can’t keep one for 24 hours and gets 10k over? I say be very Leary of this hype. Hmmmmm 🤔

Off $43?k market, but it ended up ok with incentives.

Well in that case I got $5K off!?

You can’t look at market price when determining what you paid as each market is different. Compare with MSRP to get a better idea on what the actual cost was.

My $0.02.

Completely understand that and had been pricing with different dealers for a while. That’s where they started, and if it made them feel better to take their “discounts” from there, okay by me as long as my bottom line is good, which it was after discounts and several Kia incentives.

We get that but still, u should say what u got off msrp. Thats the benchmark your supposed to use. The extra dealer charges are all bs.

Moreover, each and every dealer has different markup so it makes it much difficult to compare and contrast.

For example, my local dealer initially wanted $5K extra. Another dealer wanted $3K over MSRP. Only one dealer was willing to sell at MSRP.

Thanks. I will give them a call. Their website didn’t have an SX listed yesterday. I really appreciate the help.

The manager said they have a load coming in this week. Maybe they can give you a call when they see their list. I worked with Stan Sims, but Nick helped too. He just moved over from Mercedes & he knew his facts. Impressive young man.

Maybe this will satisfy your curiosity.
MSRP was 38,850. I was out the door a few $ over. I was happy seeing that other dealers had bigger markups & the EX was almost non existent around here. I was in contact with a dozen different dealers from Ga to the panhandle of FL. Atlanta dealers had a few but price was higher and the cars were Sangria, gray & black with black interiors. I was only interested in white or silver. I was ready to buy now for several reasons and preferred not to wait past mid June - if I had, I would have waited to end of the year. My 2nd choice car was the Highlander which still priced out more than the Kia.

I may not be the most aggressive vehicle negotiator you’ve ever met, but I did my research for a few weeks and didn’t want to risk the price inflation we are already seeing. I negotiate home sales all the time, so I understand all about market value. That’s why I take my time and research. I’m not an impulse buyer. Considering where we started the week or so before, I felt good about my deal.

Hi All,

Ordered the White/Dune Nappa SX-P on April 16th. I went in on Friday to the dealership and the manager said that we're looking at a late July delivery because of the bottleneck on the nappa leather (which I already knew about because of this forum). Thats about 15-16 weeks from order to delivery. Is anyone else receiving time frames like this?

Basically same I did. Need a new vehicle, but not right this minute (new baby on the way). Wife only wanted white with light interior and said it had to be SX because of the turn signal cameras. Researched for weeks, decided on this over Toyota and Honda based on what you get for the money alone, and chose this over Palisade as we still know nothing about it. Found a dealer here in Atlanta that was giving a fair price, (all the others right now are charging over MSRP by up to 10K) and put down my down payment last week. Out the door cost for a White SX with butterscotch interior and the tow package will be just over 45k. All in all we are glad we didn't wait as we feel prices will get more ridiculous before they get better.
