  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I really enjoy this forum, but something that has started to happen recently is REALLY annoying. I can live with the ads that appear in the margins, or at the top/bottom of a page (some of which I even click on), but lately I have found that when I click on a link to visit a topic, instead of going to the topic, I get a big, very obnoxious popup like this one: Is it just me or is this crapola happening to others? Admin - please lose this very annoying "feature." This is s huge turn off!

Yeah it’s super annoying on a phone.

Yuuuup. If the pop ups continue, I’ll be visiting this forum way less.

Oh good it’s not just me 😂, I thought my phone was acting up with all these ads. Hopefully they can be removed

I’ve written about the problems the owner of this forum has, and been called out for it.

welcome to the reality. This guy isn’t in it for the hobby he’s here to make money.

That’s okay!

But he’s dishonest about it imo. Only thing he’s enthusiastic about is clicks and making money.

I haven't been coming here much recently but those annoying ads put a nail in the coffin. Made lots of friends here. Wish everyone the best!
Good to see ya brother. Hope all is well

Well, of course. I believe he also owns the Sorrento, Palisade, and other forums. It also makes sense when you see new members ask the same, many times answered questions over and over again and not get moderated. It means more clicks and posts.

Every other forum I visit when people ask questions that have been answered they are firmly told to search. Here, we have multiple posts about financing rates every month. With the same answers every time.

This forum is significantly different than most I’m on or have been on in the past, and none of it is in a good way.

I just lurk a little now but generally am done here as I got my car and there is not much else on here I can’t easily find somewhere else with less ads.

This pop-up ad appears to be something new that was automatically added to our Google ads account. I'm working on removing it now.
I assumed it was something like that. Thank you!

I'd love it if people would report those posts and let me know. My preference is to combine topics and keep everything under one "roof" (discussion) sort of speak. I definitely don't want multiple topics about the same thing. It makes no sense and doesn't change anything as far as traffic goes - OR revenue.
