What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Southern California Rundown of best and finals from dealers in terms of markup, was in pursuit of 2022 "S" FWD Everlasting Silver if it helps anyone. This was all after a week of extensive back and forth:

> Kia Kearny Mesa +5K plus $1.3K security $1.3K "carefree" paint/interior warranty
> Kia National City +5K
> Kia El Cajon +0K (at MSRP) but plus $4K dealer options and none on lot until August
> Kia Riverside: +6K
> Kia Van Nuys: +10K
> Kia Moreno Valley + 15K
> Kia Irvine +2K
> Kia Carlsbad +5K
> Kia Alhambra +5k
> Kia San Bernardino +5K
> Kia Huntington Beach said maybe +2K but then upon follow up, acted like I was crazy for asking for that over phone - despite referencing email

Many others were unwilling to negotiate / quote over the phone/email and wanted me to come in. Even went as far out to Las Vegas, Austin Tx, etc but then didn't really follow up.

Final deal - we took the Kia Irvine at +2K but was able to get some throw in accessories and no dealer add-ons. Feels awful to go over MSRP but figured best within geographical region. Wondering if I did negotiation in person if it would be different - felt little to no leverage (take it or leave it and we'll still sell today attitude). And could you imagine driving around CA to all the dealers!
Kia Garden Grove was +3k over MSRP. Started looking in April and tracked an unspoken for SX Wolf Gray incoming for $53k with tow, nightfall, and prestige packages. Had it by June. Wish I knew about Irvine. Thanks for sharing!

Last I checked, Huffines Kia Corinth, is still selling at MSRP. This is North of Dallas. Madyson was my Sales rep.

Thanks for doing the legwork Splitxc. I live in SoCal and dropped by the El Cajon dealership on Monday (7/12). When I asked about the Telluride the salesperson informed me that Kia of El Cajon is no longer selling at MSRP. In fact, they were 10K over with 4K in garbage dealer options. They also had nothing available to test drive. The only Telluride they had on the lot, a Black SX Nightfall edition, had just been sold. I asked had they really found a sucker to pay 14K over MSRP and he nodded.

The at MSRP was if I special ordered one thru them, but plus $4K dealer options mandatory. Definitely suggest giving Kia Irvine a call. Annie Cuevas / Ashley Madrigal. It's only a $100 uber and they have decent stock :)

we also went with Annie few months back, we negotiated down to 1.5K mu.. probably because it was an lx.. the higher the trim/deman the higher mu

Having a tough time finding any dealer near me that doesn’t want at least 4K over msrp for the ex awd. Has anyone found any dealers in either NY, NJ, CT, PA that are willing to sell at msrp. I’m ok waiting however long it takes but can’t pay over msrp.

Try Abeloff Kia in Stroudsburg PA

Correct, Huffines Kia Corinth and McKinney both allow orders at MSRP and no adds. Corinth requires 2-5 accessories to be added (floor mats, etc.) and quotes 3-5 months, while McKinney doesn’t require accessories and quotes 4-6 months.

Murray Kia and Sussman Kia outside of Philadelphia both sell at MSRP. 4-6 month wait.

Hi just talked with Annie at Irvine and they are no longer selling at $2,000 above MSRP. I just received a quote for $5,000

If it helps that wasn’t the initial quote I posted that was after back and forth but could also vary by desired model.

Thank you for the info. That is a nice looking Telluride you configured. I am having a hard time even getting call backs or replies to emails. Left a message with i25 and nothing. Sent several emails to 3 dealerships in the Atlanta area mentioned in the forum (Atlanta is close to where my family lives)....nothing. Going to keep trying. At this point, I would rather burn the money than give it to the local California dealerships trying to get 10-15k over.
I ordered with them on Thursday. Their phone system was down that day when I went to call. Since I had already been emailing them they set a time to call me and after the dealership phone didn’t work (I would connect but no audio from them) on inbound calls. Carlos then called me on his personal cell phone. Took my order then emailed me the order to sign off on. Several have detailed there experiences about pricing and estimated order time so I won’t add to that. They were professional and easy work with.

From the top of my head, Carlos, Nicole, Dominic, Dumitru have all been mentioned here as great sales POCs. First initial + last name @i25kia.com for their emails.
I was just at I-25 Kia this morning buying a used Niro for my girlfriend. Dumitru is a super nice guy and we talked Tellurides while we did paperwork. He said they ship truckloads to buyers in California every month since the dealers there sell for above MSRP. He has one and so does his boss. They were very busy but polite and patient regardless of the situation. I'd happily deal with them again.

Cheers
Ed

Awesome! Hope she likes the new ride. I’m in NorCal, so it was not only about price but also getting what you want. I’ve had food orders take longer to place over phone.

Same here! Went to Global Kia and they were charging ~$15k over MSRP

Hello and thanks for having me. I hope to join the Kia family next month. I have my name against one arriving 8/29 (SXP NFE Wolf Grey), but ADM is $9K. I live in Frederick MD and called a dozen dealerships around me and most are charging $8-$12k ADM over MSRP. I did find one near Baltimore who said I could order the one I wanted and they charge $2K ADM. The challenge is taking the chance on delivery...3-8 months. I can deal with 3 months, but 8 would be tough.

Cast a wider net. I will drive quite a distance to not pay that markup. I've also used FF miles to fly one way, drive home the other, to get a better deal. Don't reward a dealer that is charging extra markup. This will only continue as long as people pay it.

Murray Kia in PA or Sussman Kia...both just outside of Philadelphia (2 hours for you). No mark-up at all, and even if they quote you 6 months, they've been popping up much quicker. Mine will be just about three months, and some are now coming out as quickly as two months, depending on your timing.

I purchased an EX Premium in late spring from the Uniontown PA dealer at MSRP
