• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey guys,

Just wanted to share a pic of my new Telluride and ask a question…

For the new models Kia went with an updated badge logo… unfortunately they didn’t black it out on the nightfall edition

I was wondering if anyone has blacked out this new badge on their own? What did you use?

Thanks,

Kia must be proud of that emblem. Odd because the major point behind nightfall is to have EVERYTHING blackened out.

2022 Pictures?

Why would they change to the new logo and black it out? They want it to be displayed. Who knows, they may reconsider it next year.

I also think a lot of people are overreacting a bit, calling it ugly and cheap. It looks fine on the non-NFs.

I don't think it looks bad at all, just prefer it to be blacked out with the rest of the car. I actually like this badge better than the others.

To follow up on this. I just went for a quick drive to pick up my kid. I saw a Honda Passport Black Edition and an Escalade Black Ed with the regular emblems. I believe Ford Explorer Black also has the regular blue Ford oval. This treatment is very common.

Just my opinion:

If this was non-Nightfall, the fugly new KIA logo wouldn't bother me as much.

The amazing chrome and brushed aluminum trim would break up the exterior color and nothing would seem out of place.

However...

With EB/NFE blacking everything out, the fugly new logo in the metallic aluminum/silver really pops and sadly can not go unnoticed.

Beautiful! Any chance you could post a pic of the rear badging?

This is great news for the mods, they can now sell again a ton of murdered new kia logos!

I’ve already inquired, production will take a bit of time. I’m hoping they will have badges that match the other emblems.
In the meantime I bought a couple squares of 3m vinyl wrap for $6 on ebay. Looking for a stinger hood emblem that is smaller for the back.

Update us with front and back pictures once you're done blacking out the badges please!

Seems to me it should be black on an NF - hopefully Kia will rectify. I agree people are overreacting. The old logo always reminded me of the KOA Kampgrounds of America logo so not sure what the big fuss is.

Did you remove the front kia emblem to wrap/paint it? If so, can you please describe what did the grill look like with the emblem removed?
Thanks.
I did not remove it. I just did a lot of taping around where the logo pops off the grill. Then had to use a toothpick to get the excess out of the middle.

Thanks for getting back to me. What I'm trying to ask is does the grill look ok without the emblem or is it a noticeable blight on the grill? It appears my 2 options are black out the emblem or remove it - which is why I ask. It bothers me that after ordering a NF I would have to do extra work by blacking out the emblems.
