What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I'm guessing 0% financing is gone.

What's the latest percentage rate at Kia? How much down?

Thanks

Ron

I believe Kia is doing 1.9% for 60 months. That being said my dealer got me 1.87% for 72 months from PNC Bank so better rates are available with excellent credit.

Good info, straight to the point.

Now if my dealer is dong MSRP i'm in. In August (last time I was at the dealer) the salesman wanted almost 4G over.

They’re both beautiful inside and out. I actually prefer the Telluride exterior and the Palisade interior. I’m not crazy about the huge pillar cutting off the rear side windows on the Palisade. If the pillar was smaller and the rear windows were larger, then the Palisade might’ve won the outside for me too. As far as the inside, the Hyundai is the winner for me. I always thought the Kia instrumentation font was a bit wacky, pointy, and 70s looking, while the Hyundai font is much cleaner and more modern looking.

I’m still leaning towards the Palisade for the better premium audio system (12 speakers vs. 10) and for the one thing I’ve been dying to get in my next car: an all digital dashboard. (I was disappointed to see that it’s not an option for the Telluride, even though Car & Driver initially reported it was. A heads-up display does make up for this some, however.) I’m thinking (hoping) that a fully loaded Palisade will sticker for about $2,000 more than the Telluride SX Premium.

Anyway, Kiundai nailed it with the Telluride and Palisade. These are the first SUVs within the realm of affordability for me that check all my boxes, and they deserve a medal for sticking with a V6 engine (I really don’t want a turbo 4). I can’t wait to take them both for test drives. As long as they’re comfortable for me and reviews don’t reveal any nasty surprises (unlikely), one of these will be my next car.
I looked at both telluride and palisade I wanted the telluride sx . it was cheaper because I didn't get the heads up display which I had to get on the palisade 6000 extra. The telluride had more choices on color combinations so that was the deal. I paid the msrp price other dealers wanted 6 to 8 thousand over msrp. But all that electronics is more chance for problems. my is in the shop going on five days with a fca problem. hope they can fix it.

I’m actually getting my Telly from this dealer and they promise me it would be at MSRP. Order back in June and just recently got my VIN and ETA in November. Hopefully all goes well and I will be a Telly owner.

IMO, once dealers get comfortable charging markup, there is no going back until the supply shortage is over. Imagine they sell 100 cars a month. If they can average $4,000 over MSRP, thats almost $5 million per year.... To average $4,000 markup, they will need to get more out of the most popular models. Its really a no brainer. I don't know why any dealer doesn't do it. But I am glad there are dealers still happy to just get MSRP.

Historically (before Covid), average dealer net profit in the USA was about $1.5 million. So clearly, several million per year in dealer markup is very meaningful to their business.

Ordered the Telluride SX Prestige w/NF in WG on 9/19, picking up 11/2, for 56.8. Friendly Kia in New Port Richey.

I must have called about 20+ dealers hunting for the best price. Lowest one I found was in GA for 54.2 but it was a 6-7 month wait. Some dealerships were charging 10k over…I lol’ed, and hung up.

I figured paying 2k over MSRP and getting a 40$ Uber to pick up my car (I’m in Tampa) is worth the up charge instead of arranging travel to GA and waiting over half a year.
All in all I’m pretty happy so far. What do you guys think, decent deal?

$50,265 out the door for a Gravity Gray SXP + Nightfall. No taxes for active duty here in TN.

Payed msrp+$721 documentation+ ,$5000 in CA taxes and registration + $1500 shipping. SX NF came few bucks over $55k.

Just for gigs, I tried to fill up "sell your car" form at carvana, carmax, vroom and carbuyerusa. I got all of their algorithms stuck and all but carbuyerusa wanted to see the car or have their finance team take a closer look and come up with offers next week.

Carbuyerusa didn't even have 2022 option in drop down menu of their application form. 😆. I might consider selling if 1- their offer is atleast $65k or above and 2- i am able to secure another telly at msrp in short time frame.

In Ohio as well. Did you order one or on a wait list? My local dealers are both over MSRP.

I put a deposit on one that was "coming in" in October. It had all the features I was looking for. Probably one the dealer had on order. Not exactly sure. The dealer did not have a VIN number so the vehicle was not even built. I worked with Alexis and she was very helpful. I made the deposit on 9/2/21. The VIN showed up on failcat.com on 9/29/21. Got a call on 10/09 the car was at the dealership and picked it up on 10/10. I really have no idea how long the wait might have been if I had just ordered one at the beginning of September. Just lucky I guess that the vehicle was already on order. I hope this helps. Hope you can be as lucky as I was.

Good morning, first time post on here and great site. I just ordered an AWD wolf gray SX with premium package at MSRP - how times have changed.... Should be in around the new year, anything I should be doing/looking out for during this stage?

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Called them yesterday and it sounds like they put me on a list to be notified when they have an SX or EX coming in.

Hoping I get lucky as well.

Hope you do not have to wait too long.🤞

Keep checking on failcat.com for VIN numbers for dealer OH088 (Celebration KIA - Lewis Center) or OH089 (Celebration KIA - Dublin OH) and ask if they are available. Clicking on the VIN will show you the window sticker and how it is configured. I hope this helps.

$721 doc fee?? That is crazy expensive.

I have no clue lol. I bought it from i25 kia like lots of other members on this forum. They charge standard $695 for documentation and $25 or so for something else. Other than this fee, they sell at MSRP.

You should check your state and see if there's a maximum dock fee assessment

No cap on doc fee for CO and many states. Highest fees in FL and GA.

We just picked up our new EX AWD non-premium in white. Ordered in early June and were given a 4-6 month eta which turned out to be accurate. We were expecting it next month based on recent updates from the dealer. There was supposedly no vin yet about three weeks ago and we got the call a few days ago that it had arrived. Car looks awesome. It’s loaded with more features than we realized. It will take some time to figure it all out.

Oh-yeah, we got it at MSRP from Luther Kia here in Minneapolis.
