Order to delivery time

I ordered an EX AWD on July 6th. My dealer doesn't do a great job of getting back with me and my original salesperson left. They did tell me it was accepted into KFOS at one point but then dropped and no ETA or anything at this point. I was quoted 3-6 months but it's frustrating because I have no way of knowing if they even submitted the order. Anybody in a similar situation?

I'm in PA and ordered the same day as you- EX AWD p/t & I got a call it was accepted on 9/16 & eta Jan 1st. I didn't get a vin or anything. I did a check-in for any updates & found my salesman also left. I didn't know anything until I reached out and asked for an update. I was told orders going in now (back in Oct.) is 8-10 months wait. It's crazy! I had to turn in my lease back in Sept. so I've been borrowing my mom's car. I think had I known it was going to be 6 mo. back then I would have looked for a different car. In failcat it doesn't look like they make many EX's and especially not in the color I ordered. The dealer, I went to, while they didn't charge over msrp, they have a pretty low allocation.
I have seen on this thread of people getting eta's moved up and picking up sooner. Fingers crossed that happens for us.

Hi everyone, I noticed my Telluride just posted on failcat. Once the VIN is created, how long typically until delivery time?

I’m sure this has been answered, but I’m new and figured the quickest and easiest way to figure this out is by just asking. What is the typical average of time between being picked up in KFOS and the VIN being created?

From what I have seen on the forums it seems from KFos to VIN is 2 to 3 months.

Initially ordered mid-July and was quoted 3-5 months. Changed my order (color and options) a month later in August, which I was told would delay my order (wasn't told by how much). Got notified in the latter half of October that my order had been picked up with an ETA of Dec 5. So, 4 months from initial order to KFOS acceptance, then another 6 weeks to initial ETA for a total time of 5 1/2 months order to delivery. If it really arrives Dec 5, that is.

My ETA is now only two weeks away and I don't have a VIN yet. Salesman says he likely won't have it until the week before, or possibly the week of, delivery. I'm a bit skeptical that the vehicle could be delivered so soon after the VIN is released, but I suppose it's possible.

I've started the process of selling my current vehicle to Carvana and financing preapprovals. Let's hope the Dec 5 ETA remains pretty accurate....

Look at my signature block milestone dates. Can vary but my timeline seems to be about average for most. “Failcat” aka VIN date

I've been playing musical orders. Most recent order placed yesterday with Moritz Kia Hurst for an SXP. Quoted 8-12 weeks; expects it to be picked up by KFOS next month (I'll believe it when I see it).

Negative. My order from Moritz Hurst hasn’t been picked up by KFOS yet, as far as I’m aware. There’s a chance it may have been picked up this month but haven’t been given an ETA as of yet, so can’t be certain.

My VIN was created on 11/11 and it was delivered to the dealer in Ohio on 11/17.

Depends on how close your dealer is to the factory. Close - small time frame. Far - lots of variables depending on where the dealer is located.

I was able to get the info from Stephen Cantrelle, it's ETA is 12/22.

My first ETA was 11/30 (upon showing up on failcat on 11/11). Over a few days that moved up twice to 11/29 and 11/27, and then on 11/16 my salesman told me the ETA was 11/22. On 11/17 he told me it had arrived.

According to Failcat, Muncie has gotten 154 Tellurides - an average of 12-13 per month. KFOS (Kia Forward Ordering System) typically opens once a month, mid-month, for a few days to pull in the number of allocated orders for the month.

Picked up? Not sure. But on the delivery end, it looks like they've received anywhere between 7 and 18 per month over the last half-dozen months.

Nothing yet. I assume the same. This is turning into quite the wait.

Put deposit down on 9/10. Showed up on failcat 10/21. Delivered to dealer 11/22. In NW Pennsylvania.

I ordered a couple of months ago and I am currently #58. You have months to wait.......
