• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Edited to add context (thank you for the suggestion @WhiteSX): This is not Telluride related but does impact several other Kia models so please read if you have another Kia model other than Telluride in case your car has a recall.

Seriously dude? You just post a link to something without setting context - figuring you'd be a hero for getting forum members all lathered up on this clickbait? If you actually read the article (reading is fundamental) you would have moved past the headline and actually learned that this issue has absolutely nothing to do with the the Kia Telluride. But hey, why actually read the content. The sensational headline pretty much gave you all the data you needed. Of course, most forum members have known this for years. But, um... thanks for educating us.

Good morning. I'm sorry that you were offended by the article. I did read it and that is why I decided to share it here. Many people here talk about how much they love Kia and the different Kias they currently own (in addition to the Telluride they currently own or have on order). We are actually first-time Kia owners ourselves with a Sportage and now have a Telluride on order. But some people are long-time fans/owners. In the article, there is a long list of Kias that have had issues and one of the statements is about recalls that people haven't had fixed. Sharing the article will help people review the list of Kias and check to see if they own one that has the recall. My goal is to be helpful. My understanding is that "click bait" is what companies do to get you to click on their website so they can raise their advertising rates. There is no benefit for me to increase clicks on NPR's site. NPR is a nonprofit organization. I don't own it. As a nonprofit, there are no shareholders or owners. So I have no interest in getting more clicks on the site. I'm truly wanting people who own Kias to read the article so they can see if this applies to them.

So I apologize if my sharing this article appeared non-helpful to you. I am not a pot-stirrer (you can look at my other posts if you so desire) and just try to be a helpful member of this community. I ask questions, I answer questions. I try and welcome new members. I like people's comments. I don't stir the pot, or at least not on purpose. Apparently I did with you today. That was not my intent and I apologize to you and anyone else if it appeared that way.

Have a great 2022 and I hope you have a great year with your Telluride, your family, your community, and this forum!

Thank you for the clarification. Happy new year to you and family as well. Please be mindful that the article didn't offend me. My concern was based on the lack of context in the original post. Always good to provide a perspective on the link you're posting.

Thanks. I tried to edit and fix it and added some context for future readers.

I found it helpful, and actually forwarded the article to a family member who owns a Kia (named in article) whose engine has failed this week. It's good to know how KIA handles recalls, since I will be a new Kia Telluride owner and new to Kia.
