BAD experiences go HERE.
Very good experience with our KIA dealer. Our third that we got from them, they are Boucher KIA, Racine, WI

I got mine over the weekend in las vegas. I live in the orange county, california. I was going to make a deposit for a black on black S AWD at MSRP with them but was reluctant to pull the trigger because I wasn't sure if the $1500 would be there when I got the car 3 months from the date of order. But last week they called me up and asked me if I would take a gravity grey with black interior with some other options already installed for MSRP. So I agreed. I also got $1500 rebate (1.9% rate). Now I am a proud owner of an S AWD. I noticed that on the way home from vegas, I actually got an average MPG of 27.7 on a AWD truck. That is not bad at all. My first Kia automobile -:)

Congrats on your new ride! I love the gravity gray! Hides dirt/scratches well. Interestingly mine (fwd) said I was averaging 28 mpg on my trip but when dividing my actual miles driven by the fuel gallons it was more like 25. Still very happy with it

Purchased my white SXP/Dune Brown from World Car KIA of New Braunfels (just outside San Antonio) - paid MSRP - got $2900 in incentives with 1.9% interest & will receive the Telluride Founders Club first payment ($750)
Dealer was upfront - no surprises - my Sales Person Jessica Almaguer was great - she kept me informed every step of the way - also Floor Manager Roger Salmeron helped answer any questions I had - overall a good experience- would have liked to have been able to get a little off Invoice- but with incentives & Founder Club and value of vehicle I am happy.

Casa Kia in El Paso.

Bought my SXP at invoice plus free all weather mats and free tinted front windows. Then took another $2,400 of incentives and the Founders Club first payment.

Additionally, they gave me $34,000 for my trade, which was $4,365.00 more than the Kbb cash offer price.

Boy! you got a great deal! That definitely is not the trend right now - especially on a SXP.

Anyone here looking in the Chicago area? Im having a good experience with my Costco related Kia dealer. Of course like most all dealers around Chicagoland, there's no inventory and ordering is the only way to go. I was quoted a very attractive Costco offer on a LX AWD.

Great experience with Crown Kia in Dublin Ohio. They claimed to be THE stinger dealer in the Midwest due to their techs Expertise in outfitting them with the exhausts and other after-market accessories (could be BS but who knows). Anyhow the sales guy was telling me how much their clientele had changed since moving to Dublin (very high end area) which I think has an impact on how they treat customers due to higher expectations. The service was good, sales process was decent and not super aggressive but not super laid back either. They got me a great price on the car and trade and interest rate and worked to earn my business on a car that checked all my boxes. I chose them due to the almost perfect rating for the service department on google and elsewhere which usually indicates a dealership with a good culture and solid leadership and makes it that much better when I need any sort of service. All in all I was pleased especially considering some stories I’ve heard about other Kia/Hyundai dealers in town. This is my first Kia so we’ll see how it goes as I would certainly return if the brand lives up to its growing reputation as one of the more reliable mainstream brands.

Got a Dark Moss EX with black interior BTW. I was really dreading having to drop big bucks, or any bucks for that matter, on another 3 row kid hauler considering how boring the competition is, except the CX9, but wow this thing has exceeded my expectations even after seeing all the photos and reviews google has to offer. The exterior is absolutely gorgeous and one of the only in the segment that don’t look like a van on stilts. The interior and tech are better than anything I’ve ever owned including my Cadillac ATS 3.6 Premium.
Just went here a week ago and they are selling them for $5000 over MSRP and he said they are trying not to sell them. They want people to order them. Will never go there again!

Great experience with Van Griffith KIA in Granbury Texas (30 miles from Fort Worth). They ordered my SXP with no deposit, kept me apprised of ALL KIA updates. Honored the MSRP with no markups even though we technically just had a handshake and I ordered a few days before the SXP cutoff. Threw in KIA Weathertech matts, Window Tinting (going back Friday for that) and 2 years oil changes and tire rotations. Salesman texted me a pic as it was still on the truck. I could not have had a better experience. Everyone oohed and awed over my new Telluride and it felt very home town. These guys that ordered from the monster dealers in April and still don't have any updates really may have had a better experience with a smaller dealer. My salesman was Jimmy and he could not have been nicer and more professional in keeping me updated.
My only complaint is against KIA taking away the rebate for competing vehicles ($1000) ONE day before they delivered my car which was delivered TWO days after the original ETA date.

Congrats! Glad you had a good experience and really glad to hear at least some people are lol. The smaller dealerships I dealt with seemed easier to work with as well. That really sucks about the incentives.. they should honor those if the order was placed during the period the incentive was offered. To me it’s like a condition of the deal

For what it's worth, a guy there told me the mark-up is so no one buys them so that they have some for test drives. They hadn't been able to keep them on the lot. I for one was happy to be able to test drive before putting in an order.

I know this post is supposed to be for good experiences, but the few Kia dealers I dealt with before and after my Telly purchase were below expectations in every way. Nothing really good to say about any part of my dealings with them. In the past, had way better experiences with Honda, Acura,Toyota, and VW (GTI, of course)

All Star Kia East in Baton Rouge. The sales manager is named Gary. When I ordered my the car, they sat down with me and went through every step of the process. I ordered a moss SX to my exact specifications. They emailed me vin numbers and ETA's and quickly responded to any questions I ever had. Agreed-upon MSRP and they print me out a order sheet with all the prices in taxes outlined the day I ordered it. When the vehicle came in they hid it in the back so no consumers would ask to see it. I just got it a few days ago and they even gave me a $1,500 rebate which is no longer available

Sorry, I have to say he is BSing...So...keep one as a demonstrator.... sell the rest for MSRP AND below) .. My dealer tries to keep one of the lower models present for the test drives... He always seems to have at least one on the lot... so I would tell him to pack the mark up and his BS reason... All he wants is the profit... IMHO

Vietvet. You seem really bitter about all of this. Post after post it’s just negativity. IMHO

If you’d have gotten the vehicle you ordered sooner maybe you would have a different perspective but as it stands, it’s a crapshoot when you get your vehicle but it is based on the options you chose from what I can tell. Just cancel it or be patient. Again this is all just MHO.

Sorry for the long reply but...

I don't think I am bitter but with being in my 70s ...I have seen BS and Know poor customer service...sort of "Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining." Excuses are like farts...you know something happened but no tangible proof beyond the sound and/or scent. While I am waiting for my TR...our washing machine crapped out. I went to Lowe's and put down cash on a new one then was told that because of their deliverers schedule, it couldn't be delivered for 2 weeks... Though I was disappointed..(Read Wife was even more)... I accepted this and waited. It was delivered at exactly 2 weeks. When it was opened, it was dented all to hell so I wanted a replacement. I was told I had to wait 8 more days... again it was blamed on the delivery schedules. That ran up my red flag... but waited...8 more days...total now 22 days before I got WHAT I ORDERED in acceptable shape.

So, here is the REAL reason for 22 days... I found out LOWEs decided they will NOT pay any overtime to clear up the backlog, thus NO CUSTOMER service. Having bought appliances in the past... companies would go out of their way to make sure their mistakes were corrected with...THE CUSTOMER. Those days sadly are diminishing at the Store/Customer level. Excuses are just that... the predescribed farts and it can cause you to not do business with them again. My uncle use to grow and sell crops... He delivered weekly to many customers. IF a customer had a problem with the corn or potatoes... and they told him...he went out of his way to correct and many times even gave them their next order for no charge and he was able to keep them as a customer because of his CUSTOMER SERVICE. He even GAVE a Baker's Dozen to his customers at times....He worked HARD to keep his customers happy and thus assured the relationship continued. That seems to have been forgotten by big business...

I am too far into this to dump my order. But if this is what it is now like...I can't wait to see what the issues Chevy will have when people begin to order the 2020 $60k Mid-Engined Corvette. Again...I have lived long enough to see how CUSTOMER SERVICE has depleted rather than saving the integrity of the business. Yup...now next time I may need another appliance, I may go to another source.

I know this is off the subject of my TR but there is a point in it. Again, my order was an SXP.... AWD with tow. Excuses have been from lack of the NAPA seats and other components of the Prestige package. Planning and prior market research would have indicated what many people would order and they could have anticipated better.. So,now 4 months in and no VIN or a bolt thrown down in West Point...well all I hear and smell is the fart.....no honest acceptance of blame. No correction planned. All I wanted is what I ordered in a reasonable time span. I don't think that is unreasonable. When I talked to Irvine, CA they actually were surprised and had thought it should have taken 6-8 weeks... this from their HQ! Sniff Sniff!!

It took 96 days for mine to come in and it was a SXP AWD. I think maybe some of the delays are in the nappa leather for when the first ones came out there was defects and KIA probably change vendors, but this still doesn't give KIA or the dealership the right to not inform the customer. Lets look at this way your uncle grew veggies but could he supply them in the dead of the winter? Well KIA is having their winter now because of supply and demand. If you want to be pissed at someone take it to your dealer for not keeping you informed. Stay on their ass if you put something down and ask for money back and wait till spring comes when the growing season is back. I am glad I waited on mine for the car is everything and more than I expected. In the long run just take a deep breath and try and enjoy life and think of the day it arrives. I wish you the best of luck and hope it all works all for you. You have been thru too much in your life to let this upset you. One more thing, I want to thank you for your service (I assume you served from your nickname) and God Bless you and best of luck.

Vietvet. I completely understand your frustration from reading yours and all these other people’s posts about the lack of inventory and communication from Kia. I bought mine while it was already on its way to the dealership due to someone backing out of the car they ordered so I don’t have a right to say I’m in the same boat as you and so many others on this forum. That being said, I don’t think you can blame this entire situation of a scarce product and/or a lack of “market research” and/or bad customer service as you have mentioned if I have interpreted your prior posts correctly. I think if Kia’s market research would have been able to detect the market on this car they’d have charged $10k more honestly. So maybe fault them for them charging not enough on the MSRP. Their dealers have certainly tried to make up that difference to their possible long term detriment. That’s debatable though. If Kia keeps making great vehicles that people want to drive, dealerships will survive.

But the point I want to make is this is the first time I think Kia has been in this situation where they have a vehicle they just cannot out produce demand and they are doing the best they can to make them as fast as possible. They have one plant making them and stopped production of other vehicles in mid-production cycle to help with this. They aren’t Chevy or Toyota or Ford or whatever other well-established car maker you want to name to have the production and distribution capacity to produce what the Telluride has demanded in its infancy. Take it as a positive you will get yours eventually and I can say with confidence that when you get it you will love it.

It’s a vehicle and it isn’t worth stressing over while you wait for it. That was all I was trying to say in my prior posts. I hope you hear good news soon.

Medved Kia in Wheatridge, CO. I paid $1k less than MSRP minus incentives I qualified for on a White SXP with gray interior and tow package. Worked with Tee Thorson and Sales Manager Ryan Harrison. I was originally set to buy an incoming white SX with butterscotch at MSRP. There was a mixup and we did not get the vehicle. However they stepped up to make it right. They offered us $1k off an SXP another customer backed out of about a month before it was scheduled to be delivered. We have owned it for a week and couldn’t be happier.
