• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Sorry for the word vomit, TL:DR at the bottom.

Just picked up my Telly on Thursday, and brought it home. The sales person had sat in the second row and put the arm rest down, and didn't think anything of it.

Once I was home I went to put car seats in, and for the life of me could not get the arm rest up. Called my sales rep who went into another Telly on the lot and said its supposed to just go up and down with no issues, so bring the car back.

Long story short, bring it back to dealership, head of service department gets in and slightly pushes the arm rest to the right (passenger side) and lifts up and it goes up like nothing. Each time he put it down it seemed like it would "lock" in place and would only go up if you slightly pushed it to the right while lifting it up.

Sales person says "that's not how it was on the other one I checked". Service guy says "well I would assume its some sort of lock on the arm rest since its also a cup holder". After a couple of minutes of back and forth between the two, we determined that for now we know how to get the arm rest up, but if its not supposed to be like that (per the Sales Rep) then I would need to make an appointment to bring it back so they could take it apart and check it out.

I guess my question is, for anyone else that has a bench seat in the second row, is it normal for the arm rest to "lock" in the down position, and require a slight nudge to the right to unlock when lifting it back up? There is nothing in the owners manual about that.

TL:DR - Second row bench seat arm rest seems to lock once in the down position, manual says nothing about this. Sales Rep and Head of Service Department can't agree on whether its supposed to do that or not.

You made me nervous to check! On the swing down there is a little not even catch before laying flat. Putting it back up was just a uniform motion. No nudge required.

On side note, like the bench seat😊

I was hoping it had a lock feature...I do not look forward to having to bring the car back in for something this silly! lol

Just brought mine home yesterday. Having same issues. Pushed to right and works! We purchased In another state so going back and forth would be very challenging. Keep us posted

Will do. I haven't had the time to bring it back to the dealer yet but hopefully will be able to do so within the next week or so.

Picked mine up today. It does the same exact thing. It locks down. I’m going to try the bump to passenger side technique right now. I couldn’t get the damn thing back up for the life of me.

My armrest will only go back up with the pressure to the passenger side as well. It locks in the down position otherwise.
