What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

What phx dealer did you use? (I've been having poor luck in my search and the markups have been making me want to just wait 3 months and order)

What phx dealer did you use? (I've been having poor luck in my search and the markups have been making me want to just wait 3 months and order)

I have been looking for the last month and experienced the same thing. Every dealer in the valley wants at least 5k markup with high priced dealer add-ons. Started looking out of state in New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado, all the same thing. Today an internet sales at Sands Kia convinced me to go in after work with words that he has seen the manager do MSRP without mark-up before depending on the day if he needs to hit targets but cannot guarantee. They started high with 5k markup and 3k in add-ons, but I was very clear from the beginning about needing to get MSRP minus incentives. After several back and forth the above deal is what we end up on.

Wanted to share my experience on here since it seems to be happening to a few other people. I ordered a Moss Green AWD SX w/ Prestige (+towing package, + floor mats) on 3/21. I finally took delivery yesterday 6/18. When I ordered we sat down, configured my vehicle, printed out a page with the price (it was agreed that I was paying MSRP) which I then signed, and gave them a deposit. I had a conversation with my salesperson and the finance manager about whether we needed to work up the contract right then and they both insisted that that was not necessary and it was not their dealerships policy to do it that way.

Fast forward to yesterday when I show up to pick up my shiny new Telluride and they have added $7,000 in additional costs above MSRP ($4,000 market adjustment + $3000 other "packages"). I'll spare you all the details but let's just say that I spent the next 2 hours with them telling me that if I didn't accept all the charges their owner wouldn't sell me my car that I ordered. They then told me that I didn't have a contract with them (remember I tried to get them to do one and they refused). After another hour of forcing them to call the owner at home, calling into question how ethical their business practices were and letting them know that I would unleash a social media barrage of commentary on their dealership and practices I finally got the deal done. I left paying my agreed MSRP price +$300 for an "etch" fee that they wouldn't let go of (and at that point I just wanted to go home and get some dinner). Still not happy with how the whole thing shook out.....but very happy to have my Telluride.

I come from an Economics/Finance background so I'm all for letting supply and demand dictate the true market price, but I'm also a retail executive who knows the power treating your customers right and if you agreed to do something for them you do it. Too many bad decisions on the part of too many people during this transaction. Take it for what its worth....just my opinion on my situation.

For now I'll just enjoy my new ride.
Same situation happened to me on my Moss Green FWD SX (+towing, Floor mats) which I order on 4/10. I received notice my vehicle was arriving when I was out of county on business, so remotely I was attempting to finalize my KIA financing to capitalize on the rebates the dealership stated I had to pay $2400 in addendum fees for aftermarket services. During the ordering I asked for finance documentation which they stated they could not provided. Long story, I emailed the principle, director of loyalty and both general managers, submitted a bad review on google and compliant through Kia Consumer Affairs. Next morning, I received a apologetic email from upper management describing there was a miscommunication. Everyone do not buy this crap, it's bait and switch technic which is legally in most states.

Im in Raleigh Just took delivery of mine two days ago, SX AWD Prestige, Towing Package, floor mats, mud guards, folding cargo matt. 45,500 out the door all tags, taxes etc. I didn't ask how they got there when I ordered in March the vehicle from there I just told them I wanted the 45,500 price and they agreed. This is Univ Kia in Durham. They told me they probably would not do that deal again and would be selling at MSRP. I put down half in cash and financed the rest at the low rates of Kia Financing.

Interesting. Looking at the honcker app. Seems like word is getting out on the telluride. The price keeps going up. An EX in NJ was 480 a month with 3k down a few weeks ago. Now it’s around 530 with 4K. Wow.

How much should be a lease for S trim FWD with 0 down at 36 month / 12k miles. I have been trying with different dealers the lowest I got was $528.

Go the leasehackr.com and put in the info. You will get the lease price. Just need to go to edmunds forum for telluride and get your money factor and residual %
I ordered a SXP on 4 April. The Edmonds forum has money factor of .002 and residual value of 61%. With the $2800 Kia Finance incentive and $2000 down the Leasehacker formula gives exactly my monthly lease cost. All this could charge next week when the current incentives expire.

Got a FWD S model for about $32,000 in Deland FL - early April.

We leased our S trim FWD with $5,000 down, about a 720 credit score, 36 month/10k miles and it's about $390/month.

Texas is one of four states that allows balloon loans. After comparing all the options between 36 month balloon vs 24 month lease vs purchase for 72 months @ 1.9%, we chose the 36 month balloon loan.

SXP Black Copper/Dune with Tow package, All Weather Mats and tinted windows $42,917.

MSRP. $48,080
Purchase price. $45,317
Rebates. ($2,400)
Net Purchase. $42,917
Taxes/Regist. $675.25
OTD B4 Trade. $43,592

Finally, it pays to have great dealer relationships.

Was your car ordered or purchased from existing stock? And you were able to negotiate nearly $3000 below MSRP? Great job!!!!

What dealership? Nice work on the discount on purchase price - that's unheard of. Was that due to a financing incentive? I assume your taxes figure includes the tax on the purchase price less trade... as that's much less than 6.25% of purchase price. Please post some pics! I had not thought of balloon option yet... did like the lease cash - but the money factor was quite high.

That looks equivalent... $390 + $5000/36 = $529 / mo - so probably standard deal.

CasaKia. On the balloon you only pay

Casa Kia. With the balloon, it's a reduced tax rate and only on the difference between PP minus Trade equity minus balloon pmnt.

The really cool thing is you can refinance at any time and not pay tax on the balloon balance. Some kind of loop hole.

I ordered it on very first day ordering opened up. February 22nd.

Thank you,

If you are willing to travel to OH, my dealer refuses to charge over MSRP. They are really honest and fair. Any in stock telluride will be sold at msrp; but if you order one they discount them at least 1,500 or so, plus you get all incentives.
Where in ohio. What dealer?
Thanks
