If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

They don't know when the 2023 options list and orders will be opened
So how do you know the X-Line is analogous?

My guess is the lineup will look something like this (based on the Sorento):

LX
S
EX
X-Line EX
SX
SX Prestige
X-Line SX Prestige
X-Pro (SX/SXP too?)

Thoughts?

My SX P/NF/T would then become an X-Line SX Prestige Trim with the tow package.

Wait, you mean previous models can be updated? That is very intriguing.
That's what I thought at first but I THINK it means you can upgrade when ordering the '23 to include lane changing in certain trims. I don't think it means HDA 1 in the current models can be upgraded. I HOPE that I'm wrong. That would be a great addition and a feather in it's cap if it's as good as Tesla's version of lane changing.

I just want a SX with Bench seating! Is the standard grille now blacked out mesh? Also, was the 22 Telluride rear tail lights NOT led based?

Fortunately, they agreed to sell it at MSRP. I expect a price increase, but how much is unknown. The loaded 2022 I ordered was just over $52K. I expect 2023 will be more. Would I pay $1000 more? Most likely, $2K more definitely not.

Most good and repeatable dealers will be okay at transitioning orders to the new MY variants to stay at MSRP, however you'll be forking out the difference. The problem is with no pricing currently announced it can very well be a $2k increase. I suppose that's the risk you're willing to take for the newest MY though. It is definitely a risk but may be worth it for the new features.

@Bohen did you notice the very clear front tow recovery bumper cover?
That sucks and we're SOL I'm sure of it .
For those who have the vehicle before this.

Also they replace the fog lights with old backstock that's too funny going back to the 4 ice cube pods

They had better not get rid of NF. That's one of the main things that lured me to the Telluride.

Kia stated:
Introducing Two New Adventure-Ready Trim Levels: X-Line and X-Pro

The new Telluride introduces two new trim levels – X-Line and X-Pro – for Kia owners who choose to go off the beaten path every so often. Both all-wheel drive models offer a roster of exclusive upgrades and enhancements over other Telluride trims. As seen below, the X-Pro model builds off the X-Line model. Furthermore, the X-Line model replaces the former Telluride Nightfall Edition.

So, NightFall will be replaced by X-Line....but it doesn't mean it wont have the "blacked out" trimming. We will have to wait and see...I hope they keep out the blacked out optins.

Pictures look like very dark chrome trim. I wonder what the 20" wheels for the xline look like. Pictures seem to only show the smaller xpro?

I would have thought they would have done more for the off road proline that's a shame again they dropped the ball but at least they put recovery points

So they give it a little lift they they raise the roof rails and then they give it a little bit better towing capacity and AT tires ... Besides changing some of the looks . No additional features for drive modes though those are available in Canada and the Middle East

Yes, definitely looks one!
It will be interesting to see how they went around and did it maybe somebody on here will have an idea I have an idea on how to replicate it .

2023 fixes for misses on 2020-2022:
  • Front recovery point
  • Better LED headlights for all trims
  • Got rid of the high up reverse taillights and installed them in the bumper where you actually need the reverse illumination
  • Proper tow mode
  • Raised roof rails to add the ability to tie things down
  • Smaller openings in front grille to protect radiator more (can’t tell if there is mesh too)

How did they manage to align NF and off the beaten path? I don't want to off road, I just want the blacked out trim. Those two things have nothing to do with each other.

I guess it’s possible the trim is just blacked out on all the regular, non-X line stuff. I wonder when we’ll see a plain old 2023 SX telluride. I’m cool with those new headlights but don’t need that busy looking fake rugged trim on the front and back bumpers.

Very interesting point! I agree, no need for the rugged trim when you never plan or want to drive offroad. I hope you are correct and the "street" version has a different design.

If anyone else is interested to know what the "new" red color is just look at the Sportage in Dawning Red. Also the Sportage also sports a Jungle Green, so I imagine this new Jungle Wood Green for the Telly is maybe darker based on how they have done things 20-22MY.

A few thoughts on the ‘23…

- I like the new digital dash, but it’s not a massive upgrade. It’s the same as in all the other Kia vehicles with a digital dash.
- Not crazy about the new headlights. I think Kia goofed with this.
- The Nightfall grille is nicer than the X-Line trim.
- No wireless Android Auto/CarPlay? Big miss.
- No power 2nd/3rd rows? Another big miss, and kinda inexcusable since the Palisade has them.
- Surprised they kept the traditional shifter. Fine with it, but the push buttons wouldn’t bother me.
- The HUD is supposedly upgraded, but how? Supposedly it’s larger and can display more info, but the current HUD is pretty darn good. Maybe it displays names/phone numbers from calls? Would have liked to see a picture of this.
- How much more substantial is the price increase going to be?

Overall, I‘m a tiny bit disappointed, although I think it will still be the best SUV in the segment. But Night Ranger isn’t leaving me anytime soon…
