I used a 64gb USB, and it took 1 hour 25 minutes. The first half of the download took the bulk of the time. Then, about 20-25 min to finish.

Accessory mode worked for me.

The update strangelY changed the units of distance from kilometers to miles ( I am in Canada).

Page 4-86 of the 2022 Manual says that there is an option for “speed unit” under “user settings” - “other” but I don’t see it ( see photo)

Anyone else in Canada update the maps/infotainment and have this problem ?

Loving the new XM interface. I also love the widescreen Android Auto. However, I wish the car would automatically switch back and forth between spilt and non spilt depending on whether you are listening to an Android Auto source or Radio. That would be the icing on the cake.

So I installed the new update (took an hour and 15 min...) I have split screen enabled on android auto, but I am not able to get the "full" screen experience that other users have received. On the last third of the screen I only get the android auto logo OR the Kia interface (maps, weather, etc.)...is there something else I need to enable to get the full screen experience? I know the update worked, because I verified the software version and the radio now thankfully has the list instead of the vacuum tubes...any insight would be helpful!

You have to disable the split screen so that Android Auto can take the entire screen.

It sounds like it’ll work in Accessories mode based on some other posts here. I’m gonna try it instead of having the car idle for the hour+ that this one seems to take.

I stil have not been paying for UVO subscription for over a year and my weather still works after updating to v16.0.

I updated on accessory mode using a battery charger. Took about 2 hours. My system was running the April 2021 version. There was a point after the first hour where the screen looked like it was completely off.

Other observations after updating:

1. The route guidance makes the streets look wider on the map now with white arrows to distinguish it from other streets on the map. Previously it used to be hard to distinguish the route unless there was colored traffic data.
2. When trying to start the UVO route guidance with Apple carplay running, it gives an error about requiring a subscription. After disconnecting Carplay it works fine. Did not used to do this for me.
3. Updating removed all my saved places again for UVO navigation.

Overall, nice to be able to custom order the presets and have the latest map data.

I use a carsfi wireless Android puck. It worked fine until this update but now I get this message. It works fine when I run it wired. Anyone else ever seen this?

Just make sure your phone is not connected prior to doing this

Installed the update. Everything seems to be working correctly but I noticed something different I think. I asked to find directions for a certain address. The navigation kept asking me to choose which POI I was looking for. I was looking for a home address. If I asked it to find this address, then it would find the correct address. Is this a change. Thanks in advance.

Well I don’t recommend putting the car in Accessories and doing the update. After running for about an hour the car turned itself off. Now the head unit stays black and doesn’t then on. Probably will have to take it to the dealer. So much for trying to save gas. My mistake.
