Latest information on Ordering System(Kdealer/KFOS) starting Sept 2020

Hey Stephen, I believe I was picked up by KFOS in that extra weekly allocation on 2/7. So I was wondering is there a chance my dealer matched me up with one of those weekly allocations and it may not match exactly what I ordered? Like interior seat color may be gray instead of black, or more options then I had chosen, or an ex premium instead of the sx I ordered? I was approaching the front of the line when that extra allocation came in and I worry bc my dealer only does tellurides on order and doesn't sit them in the lot.

If it got picked up the color combo and trim will be exact.

Yes you probably did. I was told 6-8 months and my order still hasn’t been picked up. I would be very suprised at 90 days. Did your dealer tell you how many people ahead of you? I’m assuming you paid over MSRP.

I paid MSRP with a 1000 deposit. I ordered from Memphis TN, Covington Pike. I am in another thread where some received theirs with 45 days from that dealer! They state they are a "premier" dealer and get more allotments but Idk how true that is. When I asked what order I am in, I am told that doesn't matter as it depends what the manufacturer decides to pick up as in trim, paint color, etc. so order does not matter.

I'm sorry but any dealer that is quoting you 90 days after ordering is not being truthful. Even high volume dealers can't do that. I got mine from a decent volume dealer averaging 10 to 15 a month and still waited 7 months.

I agree with your statement, but I am in other forums where it has happened to a lot of people! Some got theirs within 45 days. I was being hopeful I would be one of them!!

I’d say that’s somewhat of a lie as far as color etc, TRIM yes. Looks like that dealer gets around 20 cars a month. They show 12 in Failcat for this month up through the 12th.

Tonight is when KFOS closes. Those that make the batch will get ETA's starting tomorrow/Wednesday.

This is the last KFOS allocation for 2022 Tellurides.

We may get an additional allocation on our weekly allocations but this is last from KFOS side

Man super bummed to not be getting a 2022 but guess we will get over it. Has any more info come out about trims, colors, etc? Also a delay in transition to switching the lines over for new production? We’re at 10 months now for our car with still 20+ ahead of us at this point.

No new news yet on details of 2023 that I see. Will post when I do see more details. Yes it is traditional for the staff at the plant to take a couple weeks off for summer break as they retool for calendar change over.

Yes when you get an initial ETA than you should be good. When your order gets accepted by Kia than an ETA is given.. So if they give you that tomorrow or Wednesday than you are good

Well the ETA I have is 7/30, she is just waiting on the VIN. I have been checking failcat and mine I don't think has been dropped. So based off of this, I should be still good correct? (I don't want a 2023 lol) Thanks again Stephen!

No, paid MSRP and $500 deposit. Another local dealer tried to charge 7k over msrp and took my business elsewhere. Thankfully I did and found out they are a high # of vehicles dealer too.
