• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

That makes absolutely no sense. Then there would be no MY22s on the lots now because there are still so many people that are waiting for their 22 order.
I'm not sure I understand what part makes absolutely no sense, so I'll try to address what you may be referencing. If it's in regards to some dealerships having stock of MY22s right now, there are a few reason they may have them on the lots.

1. Someone who ordered backed out and now the dealership has the vehicle to sell and applies a healthy market adjustment on the vehicle which keeps it in stock.

2. I don't have proof of this with Kia, but there have been reports of some dealers creating fake orders for customers to get allocation from the OEMs. That way they have inventory to sell.

3. Kia allocated unsold vehicles to dealers that have high moving inventory. I'm not sure specifically if Kia has been doing this, but I know other OEMs have done this during chip shortages where they send allocated vehicles that are unsold to dealers, while custom orders are still on the books.

I would expect that they would. If they're working on shifting over to '23 production before order banks have opened up then I would think they'd build some common or popular configs and send those out to dealers. I'm hoping since the ads show what I'd order (Blue SX-P X-Pro w/Mahogany interior) that they send some of those to my dealer and I may be able to get an early one.
Do you think that was mahogany interior or terracotta? As someone who had espresso on order… I was hoping mahogany would be darker. Oh Kia… when will your build platform vs configured?

Terracotta

Couldn’t find it anywhere in the order guide, but does anyone know if the premium package will still be available for the EX? I’m looking for the least expensive option with seating for 7 (captains chairs) and power lift gate.

This page has a nice breakdown of the trims and options. It appears to be mostly comprehensive, except it is missing AWD LX, S, and EX (don’t worry, they exist).

There is not going to be an EX Premium package… it’s just going to be a captain’s chairs package. The other two features that Premium added (20” wheels and LED headlights) are already standard on all 2023 EX models.

Does this indicate they may have done something structural to improve on the marginal rating from the harsher side impact testing? I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere in 2023 updates.

Just now received an email that said "Start Building your KIA Telluride", but it takes me to the 2022 build page. DIRTY TRICK, KIA!

My dealership informed me today that my order will be a 23 and they can enter the order on Monday. Maybe someone accidentally hit the send the email instead of setting up for next week to send

I got an email a couple days ago too but same as you! I got so excited then I was bummed again lol
Has happened to me a couple since signing up for the 2023 updates on the site. Very anti-climatic.

Keeping everything aside, what are the realistic expectations in terms of timelines in getting the 2023 model? Like are we gonna wait another 9-10 (or more) months, with just in time to wait for 24 models then?

I guess it would depend on when you put your order in. If you have not yet then most likely yes you are looking at 9+ months wait time. If you have had your order in for awhile then your sales rep should be able to give you an idea of delivery time when you update your order from 22 to 23.

A dealership i didn’t order from yet told me 3-6 months for a 2023 once orders open. The one i had ordered from told me 9-12 months in august. I did order then so i don’t know where my place is but will confirm before i place the older elsewhere. My august order was deleted
