So the interior view only shows black? And the outside view is a surround of Eastern-Europe looking run-down apartment buildings from the 70s with pallets of bricks? Wtf Kia?!![]()
Why? If I wanted 20 inch I would have gotten the X-Line. I have enjoyed the 18 inch. Rides nice! Handles fine. I’m not sure 20 inch are better handling. Some just prefer the look. Conventional thinking is smaller wheels give bigger sidewall so better ride but can be noisier if knobby.Buyers of X-PRO models, are you planning to switch 18" wheels to 20" wheels? I got 2022 EX with 18" wheels. Recommendation is to upgrade to 20" wheels for better handling. Do not know why KIA gave 18" wheels for most expensive trim.
The price of a Canadian SX X-PRO including 1% interest reduction with Loyalty program on a 5 years max loan to avoid negative equity back in the pre-covid days !$4300 increase for the 2023 X-line vs 2022 Nightsky - wow.
75k CAN is about 54,5k US and that includes taxes. Where can I get the top trim comparable Acura/Genesis/Lexus for that? I’ll gladly take oneThe price of a Canadian SX X-PRO including 1% interest reduction with Loyalty program on a 5 years max loan to avoid negative equity back in the pre-covid days !
Well, we are currently in Acura MDX/Genesis/Lexus territories pricing wise for a product in my view less appealing visually than its former iterations, the 2021 SXP NightSky being the nicest in my book !
Seriously. Next new car purchase I will be shopping other brands. This is after 5 KIAs in a row.$4300 increase for the 2023 X-line vs 2022 Nightsky - wow.
Seriously? Comparing a Telluride to an MDX? Telluride wins hands down. NO comparison. I've had both.Seriously. Next new car purchase I will be shopping other brands. This is after 5 KIAs in a row.
Nope! I just checked. So what do you think? Is tomorrow (Oct 25) the day that the configurator will be online? I'm over it as I already placed my order and there are plenty of real-life pics available on the interwebs but I think quite a few people are waiting with their orders until they can configure online. Ridiculous on Kia's end.
MDX A-SPEC in Canada comes to around $78000 with shipping and taxes while Lexus GX comes to around $85k. So with new prices Telluride will be considered within the same price range.. (it is not a $ to $ comparison but if someone is paying 75k for KIA they will definitely make that comparison)75k CAN is about 54,5k US and that includes taxes. it is not just about the performance and features, at that price name brand recognition is definitely a factor as well (in a perfect world it should not matter but it does) and at least here in Canada Telluride/Kia is certainly not in the same league as Acura/Lexus or even Honda/Toyota. In fact KIA is still seen as an "inferior" brand to Hyundai.Seriously? Comparing a Telluride to an MDX? Telluride wins hands down. NO comparison. I've had both.
Yes, with Kia's price increase, the gap is now closer and people may start cross-shopping. Still think you'd have to compare a fully loaded Telluride with an MDX Advance and that the Telluride provides good value, though it is moving away from being the bargain that it used to be. It's direct competitors are still Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot etc. so all the non-luxury products. Since Kia itself does not have a luxury brand, the competitors of the MDX, Lexus etc. would be the Genesis GV80.MDX A-SPEC in Canada comes to around $78000 with shipping and taxes while Lexus GX comes to around $85k. On personal level, I booked SX model after doing a lot of research and found it to be much better value than Highlander/Pilot/Atlas (the three alternatives I considered) but most of the people around me have a hard time believing that I went for a Kia over Toyota/Honda/VW.
Mahogany isn’t an option on X-Lines. Only regular EX, SX, and SX-P. And black isn’t the only X-Line option. Terracotta and sage green are also there. The builder is working for me now on Kia’s website for a 2023, but why is black the only leather option for an sxp x-line? For mahogany you’ve got to remove x-line.
For real? It makes no sense to have one color interior option for the newest trim/package. We bought our first Kia, a telluride, a few months back while waiting for our order to come in. But if the 2023 options are going to be limited I might just go with something else. It’s one thing to settle short term waiting for our build, but it’s entirely different when you plan to keep it long term. Delayed release, no price gouging protections for their customers, and now options limitations on highest trim levels. The shine is quickly wearing off the brand for me. I guess we’ll see if anything changes when my order gets officially converted to a 2023 which I expect to happen in the near future.Mahogany isn’t an option on X-Lines. Only regular EX, SX, and SX-P.
There isn’t just one. There’s black and terracotta in all X-Lines and X-Pros. And sage green on white, black, and jungle green. For real? Wow - that is a huge difference. The one on the left looks fantastic. The actual kind of clashes. Does it look better in person like most everyone is saying? The build tool is sooooo misleading. Here's a comparison of the color of the front bumper on a Gravity Gray SXP X-Pro from the builder vs min in person.

Yep, as soon as the tow hitch is available for install from dealerships, we're vinyl wrapping. it looks ridiculous how it is.Wow - that is a huge difference. The one on the left looks fantastic. The actual kind of clashes.
Ugh - that's really disappointing. Their intent was really good, but execution not really.Yep, as soon as the tow hitch is available for install from dealerships, we're vinyl wrapping. it looks ridiculous how it is.
All the promo pics have had this misleading aspect from the beginning. Frustrating to see how the real vehicles look so different. Sorry, that difference is not just "lighting".The build tool is sooooo misleading. Here's a comparison of the color of the front bumper on a Gravity Gray SXP X-Pro from the builder vs min in person.
