Kia Telluride US production stats. by trim and colors

Thanks for this. Very informative. Based on what little information I can glean (based on what you have done and what Kia releases monthly for their production totals), it appears that the VIN/window sticker is issued about 6 weeks before actual assembly.
 
Interesting Analysis. White/Black seems to be the over color combo leader!!

I think Kia's number are sales, i have not seen any production numbers
 
Appreciate the update! Only 17 AWD Dark Moss/Butterscotch (without tow) made since last update. At this rate I should be able to get one sometime mid 2022 😂😀🙂😕😢

I am one of the 72 moss/dunes and got email confirmation SUV being built this week per factory and delivery to be mid August

Expresso Brown from what I understand os not available in the US; only in Canada. I could be wrong.... Dune Brown and Butterscotch are the "Browns" for the US.4
 
This could be wrong information, but one dealer told me today delivery of T's to dealers is based on sales of that particular dealer. In other words, if a particular
dealership has high sales volume they are more apt to get preference (though they can not able to tell Kia what they would like) in getting more T's.
I got this information from a dealer in Chantilly, VA

Essentially yes, that is true. I have heard that from multiple dealers - they have to move Sorentos, Optimas and Sportages (Souls may help too) to get Telluride allocations. That's partly why many high volume dealers didn't want to take orders - they'd rather have customers bid for them. Dealers figure out how to game the allocation system for sure.

True... Might help people "at least" locate high volume dealers in their areas who might have more vehicle supplies on a normal basis. Dealers definitely know how to play the games..

Wallace Hyundai in Stuart Florida is the 11th biggest volume dealer in the country, so they say. They had 10 Palisade on the lot, though not any with the bench seat. priced out an SEL with conenience, premium and guidance packages. They located one 2 days out that they could trade with another dealer and discount about 4k. John Randall, is the sales manager that can make it happen. I chose the Tellie in snow white, EX model at there sister store. which was in transit with my deposit on it.

Thank you. When we look at sales through July 31 and these totals for production, it looks like there is about 3 weeks of production un-sold.

It took 3 weeks for mine to travel from Atlanta to El Paso. This means there aren't many sitting on dealer lots.

New to this whole scene and this might be a stupid question. We ordered our Telluride S AWD Black on Black with the captains chairs last week. I put a deposit down and was told the order was placed. I noticed a couple comments above that they received the VIN# via email. Is that from the dealership or Kia directly? Just curious because i haven't really received a ton of information from the dealership.

Your dealer is responsible for communicating the progress of the order with you. Some dealers are good at communication, others aren't. You should follow up with your salesperson to get the VIN once the order is accepted for production and allocated to your dealership. That could take a while.

No. Your dealer will be informed of an approximate delivery date... which can come sooner or later than advertised - whenever the delivery truck shows up.

As of today (August 8, 2019) the VIN windows sticker URL does not work anymore.

For example, the following 2 VINs are valid but the URL is not working anymore:

https://www.kia.com/us/en/data/dealerinventory/windowsticker/5XYP6DHC7LG038746


Does anybody know the reason why these URL do not work anymore or if they know of another URL that works to retrieve the VIN window sticker information.

Without this working, I will not be able to update my US production stats. by trim and colors database and reports.
