Nationwide Lifetime Warranty on ALL Tellurides at Bev Smith Kia of Fort Pierce, FL

The Tellurides are not marked up 9K...and the Lifetime Warranty applies to all of our new Kias, not just the Telluirdes. So no we do not factor the warranty into the price of the cars. It is an extension of Kia Motor's 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, covered by the owner of the Bev Smith Automotive Group because we recently sold one of our stores. If you folks have any other questions I please ask that you contact the dealership directly. Thank you.
If you can’t answer the questions about “do you mark up” or “do you sell at MSRP”, then we know you do and it doesn’t matter how much the mark up is. No one here is interested in that. That is the point the member was making above

All we are trying to accomplish with this post is to provide an easy to read layout of our current and future Telluride inventory. We do not provide any pricing information online. Customers have to contact the dealership directly for any questions about pricing. So again, all we are doing is proving a list of what cars we have and when. Thank you.

I didn't realize we weren't allowed to post our opinions here or ask what their pricing structure is... I will stop asking from here on out.

You are right, opinions should be expressed. Fair to ask and express disgust. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise or that adding markup is acceptable... just that at least dealers are posting inventory for folks to see.

Good thing you got the drift, I suspect a good old fashioned internet smack down was heading your way! 🤣

BevSmith, I was not implying you should not have posted your vehicles in this section of the forum. I'm simply making the point that if a dealer is not selling Tellurides at or below MSRP, it's not in that dealer's best interest to advertise here. A large portion of the postings throughout this forum discuss pricing and there is a very strong sentiment amongst a majority of the members here that dealers who are charging above MSRP should not be used. I am just giving you a heads up since you're obviously new to this forum. But conduct your business as you see fit. Have a good day.

Great point - and yes, much discussion has centered around markups on this forum and many members are opposed to that practice.

We really appreciate that. Thank you kindly. That helps a lot for future postings.

If a dealer has to post on here to sell Tellurides, they have a problem. Stop marking them up and you will sell them. Keep marking them up and you will lose business in the long run.(n).

Agreed. My (used to be) dealer I had ordered an SXP and waited 4 months for it. They tried to jack it up 10K on me..needles to say after buying 6 cars from them in the last 7 years, they will never sell another car to me. They just lost one of their best customers to try and make a few extra bucks now.. in the long run, it's going to cost them. I also left them a nice review for their greed.

We do not have to post them here. We have no issues selling our Tellurides. There is no pricing because this is just a reference to see wht we have now and what we will be getting in the future.

This aint it chief. No matter how you couch it, we all know why there is "no pricing" (not even relative pricing, such as at or under MSRP, that other dealers are willing to state online or even on this forum).

The fact that you have posted them here has backfired on your dealership because everyone on here( and everyone each member knows) now knows you mark them up significantly and won't even bother going to your dealership. If someone wants a Telluride they will find it ( internet). Better off just posting on your website and having people call or visit to give them the bad news.

There are other dealers who have posted on here and explicitly stated they do not charge over MSRP. You have the ability to post that you don't charge over MSRP. You choose not to. No matter how you justify it by saying you have inventory and this is an inventory forum, we all now that dealers posting on this section of the forum are advertising cars for sale. Cars for sale have a price. Don't be the KIA dealer that goes for the quick buck, and only manages to muddy there name and drive sale away. The KIA dealer closest to me muddied there name playing the MSRP game, I have already directed a few people to other further away KIA dealers because of it. They lost out on potential sales of not just Tellurides but other vehicles. An angry customer will tell the world how terrible the place they were shopping from compared to the happy or neutral customer who tells just a few.

Hi Everyone,

I have toyed with responding to all the criticism that Bev Smith has received from the forum as I am the person who told them about the forum. I have been looking/researching/pricing Tellurides for about four months now. I found a dealership in Alabama that was able to give me a very good price on a White SX non-Prestige they had on their lot ( I live in central Florida). I then took that information to all the dealerships I had communicated with here in Florida. Many simply replied to my email saying they couldn't match that price. A select few emailed and said they could match or beat that price, saving me the cost of an airline ticket and driving back the 7+ hours to Winter Park. One of those dealerships was Bev Smith Kia. The responds and individual touch in their communication was something that I wasn't used to from all the other dealers. Working with their General Manager I was able to place an order on exactly what I wanted, best thing about it was it was under MSRP. I put down a $1000 refundable deposit on the vehicle and was told it would arrive sometime in October. Not two hours later I received a phone call from another dealer saying they could match the price and said they have one arriving first week of September. I placed another refundable deposit on that vehicle and had to make the awkward call to cancel my order. Never was I pressured or asked to keep my order with Bev Smith, the manager simply said he would keep the order in place as he would find a buyer. My $1000 deposit was refunded within hours.

I assume we all want the same thing when looking for a new car; not to be ripped off and not having a dealership waste our time. I felt none of that when dealing with Bev Kia. I don't want to through more shade on other members of this forum but those looking for transparency on a dealerships pricing strategy on a forum is a little ridiculous. If you're really interested in the vehicle do the work and speak to someone over the phone directly.

I am sure I will receive some negative feedback or someone might comment that I was put up to this and asked to write this. I am ready for whatever; I just couldn't stand by and read all the negativity that was falling upon Bev Smith Kia any longer.

I think the negativity is because they are not being upfront. You must call or email to get any pricing info. If you're on this forum you are obviously interested in the telly, you just want to know what prices are being charged. For the most part everyone on this forum is well informed and know the common theme is the dealer markup. The people (including myself) that asked if there is a dealer markup have been told they must call/email when other dealerships (that are also reviewed on this forum) are posting availability and being completely transparent with the pricing, so you can understand people's frustration when in the thread above and below they see another dealership offering the car at MSRP or costco pricing while explicitly listing no dealer markup..
Just my 2 cents, i'm not ordering from this dealership or any of the others that advertise, but I don't think anyone has really gone too crazy besides asking the very obvious questions.

Hey Wpkguy01, thanks for your response. Definitely appreciate you had a great experience at Bev Kia. I'll admit, I am surprised that you were able to get a below MSRP order from this dealership based on their responses in this thread. Congrats to you!

Like np86 said, our primary issue is with the dealership not being upfront on pricing. Is it really that ridiculous though? Dealers on this very forum have been very transparent and upfront about pricing strategy, with the best example being Kia of Muncie being completely transparent that below MSRP orders at Costco pricing are available and welcomed. Bev Kia's "non-answer" on pricing (all the while touting their "Nationwide Lifetime Warranty on ALL Tellurides" in the title of this thread) is pretty telling in and of itself, not even mentioning the $8-9k markups quoted by this dealership to other members in this very thread.
