What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I am not sure this is true. I went through the Costco website. I was put in contact with the sales rep listed on the Costco website. I received the deal sheet from Kia of Muncie in Indiana. Seems legitimate to me.

Just purchased my White SX non-prestige last night. Wish I could have gotten a tad better deal but I’m happy with it. I drove 3 hrs to take possession and dealer was well aware I was talking with several Florida dealers. After several weeks of negotiations and this dealer having the exact vehicle I wanted without having to order one.

I couldn’t get them to budge off MSRP price or $1800 dealer protection package no matter how hard I played the game. Here was my deal:
MSRP of $43,935-$1900 military/finance incentive-$300 visa gift card, free all weather mats, and $1500 more for my trade than other 2 dealers had quoted me which helped decrease my taxes a little more. They also gave me different dealer promotional items thumb drive, ball cap, pullover lightweight jacket, stainless steel travel coffee cups and 2 light up travel water bottles for my kids.

All and all, hated paying MSRP but I REALLY wanted this vehicle, so I caved. Traded in my 2015 Infiniti QX60 for my new baby.

Congrats. Was there anything wrong with the Infiniti?
Nothing wrong with Infiniti. I loved that car and would have kept it if they had an option for captains chairs. Drove it 3 1/2 years without an issue.

I’m calling anything at msrp a win at this point! Congrats!

I don't believe it is possible for Kia to disallow dealer trades because once it leaves Kia, the dealer owns the vehicle. My local dealer has already traded a couple Tellurides.

More likely, dealers have no interest in trading these.

As for the price of an SXP, I got mine for $42317.00 after discount and incentives. At $53,000 you would nearly $11,000 behind the ball. Ugh
The salesperson I was dealing with talked to her sales manager and they are trying to find a trade for me! 🤞🏻

MSRP = $39,395
Markup = $4,950
Negotiated Price = $40,000 for an EX FWD, price includes $1,500 rebate for KIA Finance (4.9%/75 mos)
My credit score is over 800.
Galactic Grey Telly, Black leather interior, w/ tow package
Paid down payment on July 26. Received Telly exactly 4 weeks later (with headaches from the dealership) on August 23.

They would not budge on the @$#!#$#@ VIN etching (I told them twice that I didn’t want them to install it). They fudged up the first time (etching faded and ineligible), re-did the etching but without first removing the old etching. Needless to say, I am pissed! The glass looks terrible and the vehicle is only 3 days old! Salesman told me there’s nothing they can do about it. Well, I call BS. Why not refund me my $395 for it! Why not replace all my glass WITHOUT the VIN etching! Yes, you heard right. $395 for VIN etching! Others on this forum paid like $195! KIA crooks! I am currently drafting a letter to corporate to bypass these assholes at the dealership.

Anyway, here’s my breakdown:
Cash Price $ 41,500.00
Safety Inspection $ 19.19
GET $ 2,183.50
Total cash price $ 43,702.69
Total cash price (-) rebate $ 42,202.69
Down Payment $ 5,000.00
Dealer Rebate $ 1,500.00
Unpaid balance of cash price $ 37,202.69
OTD Price $ 42,202.69
License/Reg Fees $ 465.00
Doc Fee $ 295.00
Extended Warranty $ 2,300.00
Maintenance $ 1,080.00
Quantum (ext paint and int protection) $ 750.00
VIN etching $ 395.00
Total other charges $ 5,285.00
OTD Price w/ add ons $ 47,487.69
Amount Financed $ 42,487.69

If you live on Oahu, Hawaii, STAY AWAY FROM KIA LEEWARD IN WAIPAHU!! Thank you and have a nice day!

How did you like the drive?
  • Tight steering response, or sloppy and numb?
  • Was the cabin well isolated from highway and wind noise, or was it loud?
  • Did you try out the different drive modes, eco, comfort, and sport?
Thanks in advance!
Hi! My sx drives great, handles great, all modes are for engine shifting, and it’s extremely quiet on the highway. And getting 26/27 mpg.

If anyone in NW Florida is looking to purchase, I hear good things about Bill Byrd Kia in Panama City. I went to Kia Autosport in Pensacola and I got MSRP from them. I'll update once I pick up the vehicle, but as of now, I've got no dealer markup at all. All the other BS that they're going to try to throw at me I will be declining, and if they try anything I'll back out instantly, and they'll lose the sale. But for now, MSRP for the win.

I like this strategy. Only I’m gonna tell them 6K under invoice.

Actually my real strategy is to wait a few months until real discounts (and the Palisade, which I’m also seriously considering) appear. Then I’m gonna search Auto Trader/Car Gurus for the lowest price in the country and ask a local dealer to beat the price.

My goal is 41K max for an SX Prestige (hey, that’s 6K under sticker!), maybe 42.5 for whatever the all-in Palisade is.
I test drove a Palisade and a Telluride. Definitely liked the Telluride way better but of course, to each his own.🙂

Ron Bouchards Kia in Lancaster MA is selling at MSRP. Bought a white Telly ex awd with tow and carpet for 415000 - Kia rebate of 1500. 5000 down and 3.9% apr. most other MA dealers charging 2-5K above msrp like Dan o brien, quirk, lev, pride.

I tried a palisade as well. Too bouncy and get unstable. Interior is richer but the 3rd seats have smaller window. Outer design sucks, looks like a chevy

Any vibrations at high speed?

I didn’t notice. However I do notice some vibration in eco mode at low speeds. Don’t notice it in comfort mode. Will have to rigorously test it now

Just got sxp tow hitch copper black/black. $1500 off 0 down 2.9% apr 60mo. The other Option was $0 off, 1.9% apr. After doing the math, the 1500 off was actually several hundred dollars cheaper so I went with it.

However I had to stop mid paperwork to test drive the car. It was hard to notice because I wasnt sure what I was looking for, but I can say there was some vibration on the wheel 63-78 or so. Nobody at the dealer had heard of it. But they also hadn't heard of the recall... since I wasnt sure if that was what everyone was reporting, I figured it was just the road and signed the papers.

When I drove it home, there it was again. Love the car, pretty cool stuff. Will see how those vibrations go... the dealer did tell me the first person to buy a stinger got it in the shop for 6 months because there was an issue and there weren't parts. Will keep updated on the issue and see what happens. If someone finds a solution, I'll refer it to the technicians...

I appreciate the response. This issue is really driving away from buying until Kia makes a statement about a fix. Ive never considered a Kia until now and this issue freaks me out when spending 40k plus.

Over 80% of all new vehicles arrive at the dealership with their wheels out of alignment. This state causes virbation also.

From what we've seen in this forum in various places, there are a small number of AWD Tellurides with an apparent drive train issue resulting in vibration.

To shy from away from buying this amazing vehicle because a part of two might need to be replaced is not logical.

A standard buyer won't be aware of this. I certainly wasn't; but I was aware of the issue due to the posts. I saw 24 complaints to the NHTSA regarding the powertrain and the vibration. I took the salesman with me on the first ride, but I wasnt sure whether it was my head or the car, because I was looking for it, so i was predisposed to feel it. It was hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure there's something. Wheel seemed to vibrate like if I was over an uneven road, and it also felt vibrating underneath the drivers seat. The salesman said maybe it was lane departure/centering. Tried on sport mode and on smart.

Anyway this was one someone had put a deposit on but never showed up to claim. I got called and had to go like 3 times to the dealer because I had to wait until it was determined "given up" by the deposit contract. My wife wanted black on black. She hates Dark Moss and thought Black copper would be brown. but the black copper looked really good and we both loved it. I lost a black/black Palisade yesterday when the dealer sold it while I was on the phone placing a deposit. Was about to give up on these and get a highlander. Set up the price and was on the way to grab the highlander (0% apr) when we got the call about the available Telluride and the discount. I had been told 4 to 8 weeks wait for a telluride if I ordered one and a quote of 12/7/2019 for the next unsold palisade so this worked great.

Now to see what happens with the vibrations...
