What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I like this strategy. Only I’m gonna tell them 6K under invoice.

Actually my real strategy is to wait a few months until real discounts (and the Palisade, which I’m also seriously considering) appear. Then I’m gonna search Auto Trader/Car Gurus for the lowest price in the country and ask a local dealer to beat the price.

My goal is 41K max for an SX Prestige (hey, that’s 6K under sticker!), maybe 42.5 for whatever the all-in Palisade is.
yeah right, there selling 5000 over sticker

I ordered a black SX today! The dealer offered $1000.00 below MSRP. Jumped on it.
Not to put a damper on you jubilation but, make sure that you get all of the fees in writing. I ordered a Telly at MSRP and then was told after the fact that there were mandatory dealer addons which raised the price by over 2K. Cancelled the order and found Kia of Muncie. No BS from them.

Thanks ksyrah, I did receive a quote in writing with doc + gov fees, sales tax (6%). 46,000 MSRP, - 1000, + fees + tax = $48,000 total. SX AWD Black Towing, mats.

I think I did OK...

Awesome deal

How did you like the drive?
  • Tight steering response, or sloppy and numb?
  • Was the cabin well isolated from highway and wind noise, or was it loud?
  • Did you try out the different drive modes, eco, comfort, and sport?
Thanks in advance!
Steering on mine is tight. Haven't noticed wind noise but have road noise. After undercoating it's much quieter. Well worth the money.

Just picked up my SX in everlasting silver with tow, all weather mats and cross bars today! Ordered on 8-15-19 and picked it up 10-02-19. Way quicker than I expected, only had to wait a month and a half. Maybe because I ordered a less popular color?

As expected, the 0% for 72 months they offered me for financing ended "September 5th". I never really expected to get that but was hopeful. I did get 0.9% for 48 months, so higher payments yes but id rather not pay a lot of interest.

Kia of Napleton was very easy and good to deal with. No pushing of dealer add ons or anything like that. They kept me updated on my order, either after I emailed them or they did reach out on their own twice. Now of course they tried low balling me on the trade in and pushing me towards the higher interest loans but I feel that is pretty normal. Overall I was very happy with my experience there.

Love this silver because it can look like several different shades in different light. The interior is black leather, I will post tomorrow. I think black is the only option but don't quote me on that.

Yes from the pictures I can see blue and gray. I bet the black interior looks amazing next to that color. That is a beautiful Telly

Wondering about expectations for price off msrp—my dealer is now taking orders but will only do it for msrp. Any ideas about negotiating price or expected rebates/incentives? Are other Kia models discounted much?

We got tired of the Florida dealers adding adjustments and fees to the MSRP and not wanting to negotiate. We found this forum and found Kia of Muncie and got our Costco pricing $1300 under MSRP. Until the Telluride becomes a flood on the market, it won’t come down since it is first year. Reach out to Lucas or Jason.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
What a sweet looking ride!
That is awesome that you didn't have to wait a lifetime to get it too.

Thanks to this forum, was glad to come across and joining after my intense research. Here is my very first order in Aug. when I was trying to get the Telluride at first, I was more like blindfolded and almost fall a victim. The ride finally came yesterday and the dealership insist on selling at $53,000 before TT&L. It's a SXP, Black copper, with few add-ons.
Below is our conversation after seeing the picture sent to me that my car has arrived:

"Me:
Wow...that is so nice! Is that ebony black(EB) or black copper(BCP) ? Cos I remember the first I ordered was BCP and AWD with prestige package and few add-ons. The second was EB, FWD with lots of add-ons. The picture looks like EB, and I can see it is AWD. Which of the order is that? Also, what is the buyer's order (Out of the door-OTD) price? At MSRP?

Dealer:
This is the black copper SX Prestige AWD. Idk what the otd price is but the price before TT&L is $53,550. No dealer add ons or anything just $53,550 plus TT&L.

Me:
You said that is the price before TT&L? MSRP for that build(SXP, BC Ext, Dune Brown Nappa Int. AWD, Add-on: CN,CF, MUG, RSP, WL) plus destination fee is $47,045. TT&L will be close to about $3200 I guess. But you're saying before TT&L is $53,550 which means plus TT&L will be about $57,000?

Dealer:
Yes. We've gone over this before. The market price for these vehicles right now it about 6 over msrp.

Me:
remember you said that, that other dealerships charges 6-7k but you still didn't say exactly what vanguard's market price would be and that, until the car arrives. Now that I know, I truly cannot afford that. Remember that was why I opted for a new order without the AWD, prestige package. To be honest, some dealerships sells exactly at MSRP as the market price without any dime added. Regardless, IF I could make it tomorrow morning between the hrs of 8:30 - 9am, I would come take a look. I really wanna see supposedly my car.

Dealer:
I understand that some other dealerships say that they dont sell over MSRP but most if not all of them are. As far as our price it has actually gone down since the first time you came in, we were selling the prestige package for 8k over. As far as your other order I'm not even sure if that was even filled yet. But you have to look at this car from a purely value standpoint. If you were to go to Chevy or dodge to get a similarly equipped vehicle you would easily spend 20k-30k more on those cars. I would love to show it tomorrow if it's still here like I said it's a very highly sought after trim and color combo.
At least come in and test drive it. It is a fantastic vehicle.
Me:I will TRY in the morning to come down before work, not guaranteed as my schedule is SO tight really but I would love to test drive it also. I did my homework on lots of vehicles but chose that cos of its luxury, safety, design, technology, durability(its drive off road), it's ranking, numbers of seats. I did my research really. To be honest a car of about $50,000 is no joke at all. I know the limit of what I can afford at this time. A car above $50k is kinda extravagant for me right now to be realistic but taking care of my family(safety wise on the road) is paramount to me"

Me trying to be polite, avoiding telling them GFY because we were very close communicating almost everybody. Customer service was 99.9%, I give them that.
Attached is the picture.

Thanks Hammick! Really appreciate the info, truly.

I found jason fox’s email in this forum and have reached out. Muncie sounds like a great dealership, these folks sure do get rave reviews from this forum. I appreciate your info. I just purchased a costco membership, is that something i setup prior or does the dealer work with that? I saw a thread in here somewhere that talked about it, but i cant find it at the minute.
Contact Costco first so they can send you your quote good for 30 days. Take that to the dealership. Muncie was one of Costco best dealerships to go through. Too bad I’m a little over 10 hours away smh. Jason is awesome and well versed on this vehicle. I would recommend you talk to him.

I ordered mine from Napleton Kia of Elgin IL who also orders through costco. They were very easy and nice to deal with. Thanks to this forum and Jason From muncie Kia I was able to get the platinum extended warranty for their same price. They tried selling it to me for 1700. So it was nice coming back and saying nah, 1300 or I'll get it from someone else.
