• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Headlight Led Upgrade

Hi guys, I just installed the Sealight LED 9005 with the 12,000 lumen 6k series 3. Came out pretty nice. Have to test them during the night. Picture attached in low beam > high beam > front view.

How did you mount the boxes on the fenders outside the headlight housing?Did you drill?
No drilling. Used 2-sided Gorilla tape. Also did a fine-wire safety wrap just in case the tape ever failed.

Hello...Did you have to install the additional resistor wiring offered separately for canbus codes by Sealight? I bought these same lights and they did not light at all up along with an error icon in my dash. I was wondering what your experience was. Thanks.

Try flipping over the connector to opposite polarity. That’s what I did to mine and it started working.

Thanks, so you had the locking clip on the opposite side of the nipple on the light assembly? I thought about trying that but didn't want to mess anything up internally. I'll give it a try when I get home.

Right, I guess the oem halogen bulbs work either way so I read that they can come out assembled every which way from manufacturers. But LED's and HID's require specific polarity in order to work. If connecting incorrectly cause any damage, mine would have suffered, but they worked just fine when polarity was reversed.

Thank you very much for the additional info, it is much appreciated.

How is it a crap shoot? There is already a thread on this subject. The bulbs I linked fit just fine. "Custom made" is a line the shop is selling you on.

I agree. The headlights in my EX were terrible. I didn't want to mess with the LED wiring so I put in Halogen. The bottom picture is what is installed in the Telluride S and EX, a Sylvania Standard Halogen bulb . I put in the Silver Star Ultra, Top Picture. It is brighter but not as bright as a HID or LED bulb. Has anyone put in the HID bulbs?

Hello, I did not. It has a built-in smart chip with canbus. Was a plug and play for me. Maybe double check your connections.

Thanks. I'm going to try flipping the connector to see if they'll work this evening.

Perfect, looks so great! Our wheels look much better black don’t they?! The stock silver color is just too bright

Those are some nice rims. Is that gun metal grey? I like it better than solid black color. I don't like the look of the black rims when they are not sparkly clean.

I'm a silver wheel kinda guy, but yours do look terrific - nice job! I also like the calipers. Did you replace them or paint the stock calipers?

Taped them off and painted
I'd been considering that. Your's look so good that you've given me the energy boost I needed to get out there and get it done!
