If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Headlight Led Upgrade

I talked to a professional about how the LEDs work inside the projector , here’s what he said “ppl think that the led chips should be in a 360 all the way around the bulb. It’s the complete opposite!! You want the 3 to 4 small led chips facing at 180 degrees downward. The projector refracts the light from the bottom so you get a nice clean line where the light is projected out onto the road. This is how the projectors were intended to be used. If you have to much light hitting up higher on the projector you get dark spots and a in complete line where the beam stops. For the set I bought from twelvolt has no dark spot and a supper clean line where the beam stops. I hope this helps anyone trying to understand the science involved in the LEDs and projectors.
How are they when driving at night? Does it illuminate out further and the road in front as well? Was not happy with how the oems halogens performed when driving in the snow.

I’m extremely happy with the illumination up close and at distances. It’s a huge difference from the stock lights. I have a EX model so I had the halogens stock on the vehicle.

I have read a lot of the 17 pages in this thread but have yet to figure out how many halogen lamps need to be replaced with LEDs. Aren't there 2 low beam and 2 high beam bulbs in the non-SX trim levels?

For the non-SX models, you only need one 9005/HB3 bulb in each housing. They function as both high and low beams. There is an aperture inside the projector lens blocks the high beam until you enable it.

Right! I see that now when viewing the front of each trim level. It is only the SX that appears to have 2 headlights on each side. Thanks!

Correct, only the SX has dual projectors in each housing for the low and sub-low beams. With that said, if you have a non-SX, just get a pair of 9005/HB3 bulbs and you'll be fine.

Absolutely!!! 😁
And you got the Precision 9005 7200lm bulbs that appear to be a triangle tip with the LEDs pointing down or up? Not the night blasters 6000lm that have a flat tip with LED on either side. The Precision’s are currently sold out but the pics on the Twelvolt site show a white Telluride (yours?). Did you have to adjust the collar at all?

I want to pull the trigger on a pair but I’m worried about the proper fit for the location of the LEDs for the projector beam housing.

Well to be honest with you they didn't tell me the model of the LED.Twelvolt did tell me that it was a perfect match for the Kia Telluride. They also said it’s a custom job for each vehicle they get. I asked about installation and they said it’s as easy as taking the old bulb out and turning the new one in tell it locks in! The bulb as I’ve said a couple times now in this forum are facing directly down. The hardest part is getting your hands in that little opening to orientate the bulb correctly. Then just shove all the wires connected inside the housing. Done that’s it put the dust cover back on and enjoy !👌 In my opinion best LEDs on the market. Don’t take my word there’s been a couple ppl that love them as well on this forum .

Just spoke with Brett. The Precision 9005 LEDS are the same bulbs. Ordered them today and should be getting them next week. Can't wait to check them out. Thanks for your help.

Can you take some pictures and provide a review once you get the lights installed? I have this Sealight 3s and while they are extremely bright, I am unhappy with the uneven beam pattern and the dead spot immediately in front of the vehicle

Yeah I'll post pics and let you know how the install is.

Sure does! I emailed Brett and found out they were in stock again. Just placed my order with Twelvolt.
