• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Kia Telluride US production stats. by trim and colors

Is there any way we can get an update on the spreadsheet @Michelw?

I have update the Google Sheet with the latest VINs window stickers as of January 12, 2020. This Google Sheet contains all VINs window sticker since the start of the production of the Telluride in 2019.

The last VIN is now 5XYP64HCXLG072437.

I have also created a subset of the VINs windows sticker containing only the last 3 months (from October 1, 2019 until now) of the VINs window sticker. This will make the new Google Sheet easier to load-up on mobile devices since the original Google Sheet now contains 71704 entries.

Thanks for the updated google sheet....mine's not there yet but hoping it will be on the next update. Ordered mid-November. EX-AWD. Great job Michel!

Thank you. Is there a way to export to Excel so I can run a filter? Only looking for TX dealers. TIA!

Yes - I would like to sort by state and dealership to see what kind of volume of SX-P's have come through San Antonio, TX.

You can't export it.

To filter out the data, you simply need to click on 'Data | Create a filter'

Once you have active the filter, you simply need to click on the upside-down triangle icon 1578945988475.webp from any of the columns that you want to filter on and add your own condition.

For example to filter on TX dealers only, simply click on the upside-down triangle of the SOLD_TO column, and write down the following condition:

You can put as many filter condition as you want. To reset your filter condition you just need to click on 'Data | Turn off filter':

I tried this - but I got an error saying the sheet owner wouldn't let me. I will try again.

It could look a little different when not logged in. Then you click on Data -> Filter views -> Create new temporary filter view - use a PC with Chrome. Works flawlessly.

I already wrote who to call in San Antonio in a prior post - contact Ancira Kia and World Car Kia North - the latter dealer should have a Gray SX-P en route per the spreadsheet - though it's likely already sold.

The black copper is truly unique....nothing quite like it that I have seen! I would have loved the "dune" color for my interior , but the one coming into my dealer was fully loaded with everything else, so I accepted the black and am VERY happy! Took this photo after I came out of the car wash....you can the color is something different than "normal" black!!View attachment 5575
I ordered mine 11/15, Black Copper with Dune Nappa.. That’s a beautiful car..

Here are the latest regenerated VINs as of December 31, 2019 in the Google Sheet.

The last serial generated VIN is 5XYP34HC3LG070280.

Note: During Christmas time, there were about 8 days for which no VINs were generated. I guess this will come back to normal starting this Thursday or Friday.
I can’t open it. Today makes two months since I ordered my Black Cooper SXP AWD with the Dune Nappa on 11/15 with Kia of Munice. I’m waiting patiently for a VIN.

Many thanks for the subset. I had been sorting by zip code, then scrolling through all the 2019 entries. Mine still isn't there - I got so excited when I saw a new white with grey interior, but no Prestige or tow package. The dealer said it should be in the next batch. I am so grateful for your generous sharing of your time and information!

I concur with this thanks. This tool is an impressive piece of coding. I check on it often to stalk the car I have on order as well. But it is also fun to check out what is going where and how often. I absolutely love slicing this up and looking into volume dealers and what option packages are popular.

Keep us posted when you get a VIN. I'm 3 weeks behind you!

Good and bad news. I went to the dealer today and he said he had just received the list of six cars he will be getting and was confirming that those in line for the next allocation still want them. Mine was on the list for the next allocation, so I confirmed I still want it, and he went and got the list to confirm I would be in this allocation, and confirmed the the options I ordered. I asked what happens next and the timeline, and he said it will be April before it is built and gets to the dealer. (Originally I was told 12 weeks when I ordered Nov. 15). I made him explain it to me again to try to understand why it would be an additional 2 months. I asked to look at the list of the ones he had coming in and the dates those were ordered (one had only an order number, no VIN - and it will be in this month? While mine will get its order number today, and won't be in until April?) Needless to say, I still don't understand that, unless it was an order for a non SXP that he had an allocation for so slid an order into that empty slot. (ALL of the vehicles on the list were ordered vehicles.)
So...that's my update. Any more delays, and I won't be able to drive to my grand-daughter's graduation from nursing school in my new Telluride..

Michelw how often do you update the sheet?

Not trying to put words in their mouth, but it's typically every week or so.

I understand where your coming from. I ordered two months ago the same day you did but understood going in there would be a wait. I’m not expecting to hear anything until April as well, my current vehicle will be paid off next month. So that helps me to bank that money until it’s ready. Kia did dropped the ball by underestimating the demand for this vehicle and put all their eggs in one basket. They need to have more than one US factory making their cars. The demand is just too high! Patience in this day and age is not a virtue people poses, there’re other options with competitors that could push customers elsewhere. The Hyundai Palisade is gaining on Kia because people don’t want to wait. Then to introduce changes to the car when you can’t even get the ordered fulfilled from 2019 is ridiculous. A 6 month wait on a car to be built in 2020 that was placed in 2019 is a bit extreme.

I knew we would have to wait but the dealer told us 12 weeks - based on their allocation, so it's a bit disappointing although I don't blame the dealer if the factory is the holdup. If they slipped in orders ahead of mine, that would be upsetting...but I even "get" that they would want to accommodate their regular customers. Fortunately we have an extra car I can use. Every time I even think of getting some other brand, I re-read the reviews on the Telluride, and keep telling myself it's worth the wait.
