It's been 7 months since I ordered and still nothing

We just had our oldest order show today. 7months Black/Black SX-P We complained to The Mother Ship months ago. It was if it got lost. Finally here.

We ordered the KIA Telluride SX back in August 14, 2019. We're at around a 7 month wait right now. It appears from other threads that most people are waiting at the very least 4 months. I do feel like I ordered a unicorn, but we'll see how the rest of the year brings.

It's nice to hear that 7 months was your oldest order. It gives me hope that maybe I didn't order a unicorn. I call and speak with the internet ordering guy at the Kia Camelback dealership every couple weeks or so. I think next time I'll ask how many allocations do they receive in their KFOS system and how many Telluride SX orders do they have in their Kdealer repository that they have to match their allocations up to. Maybe that will give me a better idea of if I still have months to go, or am getting close. Do that sound like I'm making sense or does it sound like I still don't understand this process? It's definetly complicated!

I don't think that you get a VIN number until a car is actually built. (Anyone can feel free to correct me here if I'm wrong.) For ordering, dealerships request a refundable deposit to put the order into the system and give you a place in line, so to speak.

So basically 2-4 months they are saying. It’s depends on volume and how many they are getting .. it also depends how many people are in front of you waiting

You have been waiting for six months by my calculation. Camelback is one of the smallest dealers in Phoenix so it is not surprising you have been waiting this long. Did you receive an order number?

I ordered on 9/14, and am at 23 weeks this coming Saturday. They're a month ahead of me, so if we're going by weeks, rather than months, they're math's correct-ish.

I ordered on 2/8 and was told 3-4 months, but likely closer to 4 is expected right now. Really hoping that it's gotten quicker than a lot of stories posted here that ordered mid 2019, since they supposedly stepped up production of Tellurides in January. One can only hope... good luck! I got a Gravity Gray SXP with Gray Nappa interior.

Technically they announced a production increase in December and then another one in January. I have yet to see an impact to delivery times. And looking at the production numbers on the various tools members have made available - I am not seeing a big jump in production either. I ordered a Gravity Grey SX-P with Black leather in January and it has yet to get picked up in KFOS. Based on the dealership I am working with and their number of allocations they are getting each month - it will get picked up in March or (more likely) April and then I will be 60 days out from there. I have a trip I am taking in May and really wanted to take the new Telluride - but it isn't looking likely I will have my vehicle by then.
