In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The KIA Telluride in Black Copper

What look up sheet did u use? The second one seems only to show black as most interiors. I think that is a glitch. Some will be dune and still show black. Call your dealer and ask....good luck!
I used the Vin lookup website that foresterh created. I hope it's just a glitch. I told myself I just going to wait till next week when it supposed to start production before I reach out

I am starting to get a little afraid. According to the Vin Website, a Black Copper Vin was produced 1/23 for my dealer, but with Black Nappa seats not Dune Brown like I ordered. Since my production date got pushed back a week, I am hoping that it is someone else Black Copper. That would be a bummer to wait 6 months to only get the wrong interior! The Dune Brown seats were the only thing I was not flexible on.

The window sticker indeed indicates that it is not dune brown if I looked at the right one. I'd contact your sales manager.

Is this the VIN / sticker you looked at?

Yes that is the exact one I just looked at. I guess I will reach out to my dealership to make there are no mistakes before that vehicle arrives

But you said your ETA was 2/27... that may not show up with a VIN until the first or second week in Feb. So that vehicle you referenced may not be yours.

I found out it was not. I was panicking since that was the first Black Copper I saw going to that dealership. I will check next week. Production scheduled to start next week

Does anyone happen to have any photos of the Black Copper/Dune Telly with the rear seats folded down? Considering getting the canvasback covering and curious if the brown or the black would look best. Thanks!

The Dune Interior regardless of exterior color is what's important. I think Black. Unless you want it brighter, then get brown. I just ordered the Kia carpeted cargo mat split back... it's black. I like it. Your choice of course.

The black SXP with the black wheels and orange DRLs is the best looking Telluride. Hands down. I say that even though we went with a silver. I just couldn't commit to the work it takes to keep black looking awesome. (My primary vehicle is black).

That is kind of what I thought. I wondered if the black would match the best even with the Dune interior. I believe the backs of the seats remain black regardless of the seat cover colors. That is why I was looking for a photo so I could see it (since my car hasn't hit the lot yet).

Our Black Copper/black arrived on 2/24 after a order date of 11/15 and a VIN posting of 2/3. We absolutely love the black copper color, it is amazing. My wife has already commented that people have stop walking and stare as she drives by (mouth open in one case). We have seen black, white and everlasting silver SXPs during our wait. This was our dealership's first BC and they were stunned (I think they though it was more of a dark brown instead of a black/root beer color). I agree with what everyone is saying as far as root beer (in sun), but most of the time out of sun/shade most people would say it is black/flat-ish black. Most of the more recent pics in this discussion are true to its appearance, but the root beer-ish color really only comes out in full sun, subtle but in a good way. We added the running boards mainly for our kids, our parents and it doesn't hurt that it changes/enhances it's appearance (I haven't see a side pic w/ running boards, so check it out). Comparing the BC to the other colors we have seen (I personally like all of these colors, but just not as much as BC now that we have seen/own it): black: more of a glossy/traditional black (no surprise) compared to BC; white: looks really sharp/clean, especially with the black rims, blacking out the chrome would really make it standout; everlasting gray: the only other SXP on our side of town looks great and a definite option for someone who doesn't want a white/black car. I can't say much on the other colors that I haven't seen, but I would rank it: BC, black, everlasting gray and then white.

Have the same exact configuration......including the running boards! Agree with it all!!

Congratulation! and little over 3 months from order to delivery. Those pictures put a tear in my eye.

These are the most true to life pictures of black copper that I've seen.

Root beer-ish? I guess so. It's truly hard to describe. I arrogantly thought that I could photograph it true to color, but that proved to be beyond my abilities. Suffice to say that it looks much better in person (especially when it's clean!), but these shots along with shots in previous posts should help anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I thought that it looked more copper brown in bright sun, but the photos are coming out burgundy- root beerish. When I came out of my chiro appointment this morning, it was definitely root beer-ish. Here are some shots (oh, I picked it up Monday Feb 24. Instead of waiting 4-8 months, I drove 600 miles roundtrip to get this handsome beast!). Needless to say, I suspect it will be quite sometime before I see another black copper Telluride in North Central Florida.

Great pics. Mine looks black! I only see the copper in it sometimes. But we haven’t had much sun here in Jersey! Mine always looks like your last picture. I love it!

I love it too. My last car was a white Impala and my wife has a white Sorento, so my goal was anything but white. I normally go for red but the Sangria didn't do anything for me. I found the Dark Moss intriguing, but I thought it would be too common (lol, counting the LX version I test drove, I've only seen one other Telluride here). My wife loves black, and I like that it has different looks at different times, so the black copper was an easy choice.

One thing we have in North Central Florida is lots of sun. I've had it less than a week, so not so many looks yet (at least that I've noticed), other than a couple of cops who circled around me for a few blocks (lol, scared the bejesus out of me!). My lunch buddy called it a gangster car, and on the drove home, my wife in her Sorento thought it looked like a police vehicle!

Excellent photos Gator on the color. Thanks for posting.

Here's mine after adding clear bra and ceramic coat. Also had the windows tinted. I'm glad I went with this color!
