Order to delivery time

Update: Telluride arrived at dealership today. Will get prepped and shipped out next week for its long journey to my Florida residence from Muncie, Indiana. ETA to the dealership was 26 March. Just slightly ahead of schedule.

Nice! Same boat...I was lucky enough to get an eta for end of May after placing the order 3/10 for a SX (non-prestige) but now we wait and see. I’m hoping for the best but expecting a delay.
 
Production is showing up on the VIN tracker again after going dark end of last week. Hopefully everyone stays safe and they can get these Tellurides moving again. Since I am getting a 2021 - anxiously awaiting the release of the data before KFOS picks up my build next month.

How do you know yours will be a 2021? I didn't think Kia dealers knew when the switchover would occur?

My dealer told me I missed the allocation for an order in March by one person...and that beginning in April they will no longer accept orders on 2020's. I will be the first SXP order for a 2021 vehicle at the dealership I am working with. No information yet on pricing or option changes. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Also - they said the 2021 year model now shows up in KFOS...just not details/pricing. If your order was accepted in KFOS in March...you are still getting a 2020 model.

I am dying of curiosity what changes if any will be on the 2021's. Here is my short wish list:

- Remote start on the key fob
- Full LCD dash from the Palisade limited on the Prestige trim
- Steering wheel from the 2021 Sorento put in the 2021 Telluride (the 2020 Sorento and Telluride share the same steering wheel)

Last time I spoke to the Rep, he literally laughed when I asked if there was any update and said that I "might" get it in July and that he has people waiting who placed orders LAST July that are still waiting. Unbelieveable. On Tuesday I called 12 dealers outside my area here in Nor Cal and the lowest mark up was $2995 and the highest was $8995. No thanks, paying sticker is bad enough.

I've done the same here in the Bay Area and the dealers that have it are all marking it up at least $6500. I'm guessing the 2021 models will be announced in the next couple of months so I'm going to wait and see what happens with my order once those are announced. I wasn't expecting any news until Summer but now may be even longer.

Going to be sooner than that. I was told by my dealership that my order for an SXP - will be a 2021 - and there is no one in front of me waiting for an allocation. All other SXP's in front of me at my dealership were filled with the March release of allocations in KFOS. He also showed me that the 2021 model is showing up in KFOS - although no information is available yet. I suspect that we will get information in the next couple of weeks on the 2021 Telluride. Now - that said - I suspect I won't see mine until June/July based on the most recent ETA's that others received this month. This timing makes sense as the factory will be changing over for other 2021 models this summer - the new Optima and Sorento. The 2021 Model year is going to be exciting for KIA.

My wish list for the 2021 Telluride:

- Digital dash on the Prestige trim from the new Sonata/Sorento
- Remote Start on the key fob
- Steering wheel from the new Sorento (the current steering wheel is shared by the 2020 Sorento)
- More power?! ( I know I am dreaming on this one )

Update: My original build date was March 17. With factory shutdown last week it has been pushed to Thursday according to the dealer. We'll see!
 
I ordered a SXP in November and was just told that my eta is June 24th. Not seeing a vin on the vin lookup website. Given the factory shutdown, does this likely mean that I will see a 2021?
