• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Do you have any complaints about your Telluride?

Towing. This is not a good tow vehicle. The self leveling is a joke, shows up with a 4 pin for a 5000 lbs rated tow capacity. Don’t buy this if you plan on towing anything. Just not good at that. Otherwise, I love everything about the vehicle.

Depends what you are towing. Yes, a four wire plug is ridiculous on a rig with 5,000 pound rating, looks like the 2021 will take care of that mistake.

For people wanting a serious tow rig, its hard to beat one of the various full sized, four door trucks out there. In my case, I have two small, light weight camping trailers. One weighs in at 1,500 pounds, the other weighs in at 3,500 pounds. I've been towing my trailers with an F150. I think the Telluride will be able to handle either of my trailers, no problem. This gives me more options.

I'm currently shopping, not yet an owner. But I have to say the lack of Hill Descent Control might just be a deal breaker for me. I'm currently in an older Lexus LX470 and it's time for an upgrade. I'm in the mountains in BC, an avid backcountry skier and hiker and I've been spoiled by the offroad capability of my current ride. I don't expect the Kia to compete with a landcruiser in that regard, but if they're marketing it as a capable adventure-ish vehicle, Hill Descent seems like a must have. It doesn't look like an add-on for 2021, which is a bummer. It's an otherwise beautiful machine inside and out.

If anybody has feedback on their experience descending steep snowy logging roads with chains on in the Telly I'd love to hear it.

I think there's a Canadian model tested in snow on YouTube somewhere. If you're looking for a vehicle to traverse the types of roads you speak of, a body on frame vehicle sounds like the better way to go. If I were you, I'd keep my Lexus as the beater trail rig and daily drive the Telluride.
Hill decent control is more for off road vehicles to be used at slow speeds. The Telluride isn't really a crawler, it's designed more for like soccer practice. You'll notice that the mud you see them slogging through in the tv ads isn't really more than a couple inches deep on a closed course.

7800 miles.....none!

LX and Telluride are a different class of cars.

I'm seriously considering the SX. I'm not happy about lack of key fob remote start. I have no interest in paying for a service for the APP after two years. I'm not a big app user anyway. Turn on your phone, wait for app to load, then sift through options to select start...... is WAY too inconvenient compared to pushing the button of fob. Am I misinformed or this lack of fob in fact true?
That's my issue as well. Didn't realize when I bought it and completely surprised that it doesn't have it. I'm hoping there is a hack that we can do at some point. I'm not into the app at all either.

Yeah. No kidding. I’m truly not comparing them. The issue remains that Sorento’s, Subaru’s and Volvo wagons have Hill Descent and the Telluride does not. It’s a major oversight on a vehicle with a complex AWD system.

I saw this article and was impressed. Not my thing but nice to know there is some capability.

For me, in NM, it might just be the time of year but I feel as though my windshield is ALWAYS dirty. Again, might be the time of year, or the angle, but I clean the windshield daily. Also, I love that the washer nozzles are not mounted on the hood but I lose a ton of wiper fluid as it hits the top of the hood as it shoots onto the windshield.

Poor quality glass originally

My car is always full of pollen during this season as well if that is what you are referring to.

Have you tried using a toothpick/paper clip/needle to poke into the washer nozzle and clean it out or aim it lower?

Keep in mind - the primary target audience of any SUV not built on a truck chassis is hauling kids to and from school. I get it that there are some that might want or need this - but KIA had to prioritize what features to add to hit the sweet spot in the market and they succeeded.

My wife and I checked on out back in January. Liked pretty much everything about it. My only problem was the weird handle like thing on each side of the center council that prevents you from relaxing your driving leg. I am a big guy, and that little thing there just gets in the way, and i can't see a reason for it.

Correct.....DHC is a feature that suggests "rugged off-road" ability and the Telluride ( at least the current version ) was more directed toward tech and comfort as a "family hauler."

I only have 1000 miles on my Telly, but I haven't been able to get completely comfortable in the driver's seat.
Same and not sure why. The passenger seat sits very comfortably but the driver's seat hurts. Kinda like I'm sitting on a metal piece or something.
