Order to delivery time

Jadyas, they refunded your deposit on a car that was already on order then asked you if you still wanted it after you gave them another shot, and didn't even realize it?! Wth! Lol

Listen, I’m just surprised as much as you are. I didn’t wanna deal with them again. When I called today I gave them a fake name, apparently they caught me from my phone number. I don’t even think the sales manager remembers me, I had a big fight with him and had to speak to general manager. Funny thing is she even said I have a deposit on the car. Well I’ll just play it fool. Btw that’s the first time they send me an email. When she said I’ll send you an email with all the car’s info I was doubting they have my email. Anyway I got the email and looks like the car is already under my name.
 
Interesting. Are they high volume that they'd not know about this order the first go around? Or was the salesman just clueless

They rank 4 in Michigan the first 2 ranks are for the same dealer different locations they have double volume each location. Anyway they only got 35 tellys so far so that’s not the problem. Neither it’s the sales, because I had to speak to another salesman after they blamed the first one! I believe it’s the sales manager fault he has no idea of what’s going on. If they told me before my order is converted to 2021 i would have been fine with it. Instead they kept saying because if covid kia plant just gave this car instead! I hate them i hate the manager but if that’s what works for me now then who cares. Like Stephen said it’s bizarre!

Depends on where your dealership is located. Some on here might be able to give you a good idea. Where is your dealership located?

Mine hasn’t shown up on there yet, but I’m trying to figure out when I should even really start looking. My last ETA given was 8/17
 
I-25 Kia outside Denver has an S w/AWD Moss that was unspoken for at about noon. They charge MSRP and no funny stuff.

The GM of the KIA dealership that i am dealing with emailed me very similar details on my Nov 25, 2019 order. It's a SXP+T. This occured on July 8th (Last wednesday)......This commitment says ETA of 8/22/2020. It even has the MSRP $ @ 50,045.00 and the invoice $ @ 48,301 on this.

Then on Friday, July 10th....I get an email from KIA Consumer Assistance Center. It read as follows-

We are following up in regard to your request for an update on your Telluride order. The current ETA for the vehicle assigned to your order is 8/22/20. We encourage you to stay in close communication with your dealership for additional updates as they become available.

I do look @ the Fail cat every day and it appears that KIA is not building any SXP+T's at all .....but them damn Nightfall editions are being built like they ran out of chrome at the factory.....

Ironically, I was very into the "Blacked Out" edition (this was name before KIA held a board meeting probably due to recent events here in USA).....

I thought that it would be a rare type of vehicle on the road.....

Now i think that in the future if you see a "Non" nightfall....those may be the Telluride unicorns!
 
i’ve caught onto this also. It seems like they’re batching trims and colors

What's the group think about this when they release GWP next month? Anyone believe they'll churn out a bunch of GWP Tellys since it's a new color?
 
So the saga continues! I wrote to Dealership GM and asked if he had received any new communication from KIA on the ETA. Last Wednesday, the ETA I was given by both dealer and KIA HQ was for 8/21. Dealership GM just looked in his system and now it says ETA of 9/4.

I think they are having supply issues with the new 7-pin Harness...Few orders with Towing on them are getting pushed back from what I've read on this forum past few days.
 
If you call every week you run the risk of getting new or bad information depending on who you speak with. These vehicles will all be delivered one way or another. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong who represents KIA here, but not one correctly dealer ordered vehicle has not been delivered to my knowledge. They're coming, we've just got to deal with KIAs decisions to mass produce new 2021 models with new options and colors before they produce "sold" orders in the queue. They'll never increase their inventory by focusing on a small subset of deposited orders.
I have been touching base with my dealer once a month since January and have had 6 ETAs now as an example. Id imagine it'd be more if I called them more frequently. Sucks waiting but it'll be worth it

It could also be the self-leveling shocks. It's really frustrating with the lack of communication. I've ordered vehicles from GM and Ford and the communication in both cases was great regarding what options were in short supply and would create delays. This is beyond ridiculous that no one has a clue why no vehicles are being produced with the tow package or when allocations will ever open for SX-Ps. I'm one of those that also ordered a while ago back in January. Not near as long as some here though.
 
Count how many times the F word is said around here daily...frustration that is.

But in all honesty we also get a counterbalance to that...we get tons of people picking up their babies with happy endings...

I'm like in the system, or your piece of paper because KFOS isn't open? Where is this allocated to?

You learn so much from these forums but some of these guys still continue to confuse the hell out of the situation.
