Let him email you the order info or whatever that thing is called! I’ll attach mine so you know what I am talking about. That way you’ll know if your car is really allocated.

You learn so much from these forums but some of these guys still continue to confuse the hell out of the situation.

Yes that is what i was talking about - I think it is a build number. Maybe @StephenCantrelle can confirm

Oh you were asking me if that is the build number. No clue i think that number is supposed to switch to vin number when they build the car. That’s what i understood from Stephen. @akdoh

Like I said yesterday my 1st dealer got it all messed up and failed to explain to me my 2020 order from Dec last year was switched to 2021. They said they forgot to order it and just yesterday i knew by mistake that my order is still there.

Ah thats right I keep forgetting about the 2020MYs just automatically switching over to 2021MYs...which can be done without KFOS open...

They rank 4 in Michigan the first 2 ranks are for the same dealer different locations they have double volume each location. Anyway they only got 35 tellys so far so that’s not the problem. Neither it’s the sales, because I had to speak to another salesman after they blamed the first one! I believe it’s the sales manager fault he has no idea of what’s going on. If they told me before my order is converted to 2021 i would have been fine with it. Instead they kept saying because if covid kia plant just gave this car instead! I hate them i hate the manager but if that’s what works for me now then who cares. Like Stephen said it’s bizarre!

Just see their total number of tellurides they got and compare it to other dealers in the state.

Go into the failcat site. Choose dealers on the banner. In the search box type "mi0". That should get you the michigan dealers. Then sort on total cars
Edit - That works on most states - Not CA for sure and maybe others like FL or TX

Heres my recent experience. Been in contact with my local dealer here in So Cal and I was told I could reserve one of their allotments however SX-P was not an option and they didnt know when orders for a prestige would be open. I was ok with no prestige so I went in this morning and they said that their system was updated today and they were able to place an order with the prestige option. I wrote a check for a refundable deposit for a 2021 SX-P. Everlasting Silver. Nightfall and Tow. (Wolf Grey was just an option just a little too light for our taste)They said they are allocated 2 SXs for the time and I was lucky enough to grab one. Fingers crossed.

Isn't there a crazy mark up? Please share if you found a socal dealer without mark up as I have yet to find one
