Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Thanks for the info. I live in Sacramento, CA and I just reached out to Lewis. Out here they're going anywhere between 6,000-10,000 above MSRP.

As mentioned by Brendon, Hilltop Kia is the only dealer in NorCal that does MSRP. Picking up my car from them on Friday! :)

An alternative is to order from I-25 Kia in CO at MSRP and ship in (~$1k). They do charge a $700 doc fee, but still nets out cheaper than most. They're also a high volume dealer that will get you your vehicle sooner than most :)

We had a smooth purchase from Lou Fusz in St Louis. They let us reserve an incoming model took our info for a deposit but never charged us. No pressure finance department. I would buy from them again.
Oh BTW we drove 300 miles to pay MSRP as central Iowa is charging 3k market adjustment and was mainly only getting LXs in.

I highly recommend Michael Cain at Edwards Kia in Council Bluffs, IA (greater Omaha area). He's a Telly owner himself, has sold over 50 of them personally, knows the process very well, and is easy to work with. They are selling at MSRP + very small ($60) dealer fee. He posted some available inventory in another forum and has a few available custom order slots for the September allocation currently.

Finding this thread a bit late but had a great experience at Friendly Kia in New Port Richey, Florida. Their online site is user friendly, up to date, and I like that you can see window stickers. They also did not do any sort of surcharge and I got my 2021 SX at MSRP. I found the car online, showed up, and drive away in it a few hours later.

Just finished locking in a Gravity Grey AWD SX at msrp with Lewis Belt at the Hilltop Kia in Richmond, CA dealership. I live in Sacramento, CA and had been searching the better part of a 500 mile radius for the past 5-6 weeks. The lowest I could find the vehicle was for $6,000 over msrp and it was a firm 6. I'd called and inquired on at least 2 dozen cars and dealership. Thanks to this forum (stumbled upon a week ago) I saved the 6,000 and only have to wait a couple months longer, which is well worth the wait if you ask me.

I'm indebted to this forum and the people that belong to it!

Fantastic Did you special order or get incoming inventory? Was it placed into Kdealer or upcoming KFOS Gives me hope if my order might com in a a couple months

A week or two ago Hilltop told me the SX AWD waiting list already had 22 people on it and they only get 2-3 allocations per month. I guess one could get in line for a 2022 or hope that someone that already ordered does not follow through with their purchase?

Thank you for the order James. Looking forward to filling your order.

I was already on a waiting list with a local dealer and that was a 3 month wait and a firm $6,000 mark up above msrp. With Hilltop I was told 6-8 months but if my trim package came in before my car is shipped, then I'd get the call. Personally, waiting an additional few months is worth the savings. Granted some people may be in a different financial position and don't mind spending the extra money to get the car a little sooner.

Yeah, he said the list is at 24 now. They sound great to work with I'm just not sure I'm interested in waiting that long. I'll probably take a closer look at the Palisade, the features I prefer on the Telluride aren't huge differences long term. It's really only the front console area and the availability of nightfall.

Just picked my telluride up today from Bob Sight Kia in KC. I worked with Matt Rodecap and the process couldn’t have been quicker or more smooth. They sell at MSRP with a $200 doc fee. I ordered in July which took 30mins and picked it up and financed at .9% in about an hour. Matt was very responsive to my inquiries during the whole process and would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a telluride.

That's awesome. Lewis Belt just delivered my new Dark Moss SX Nightfall to me in San Jose. He's even better in-person. The car was super clean and glossy and the gas tank was full. Really a class act. I know the waitlist for an SX seems long now, but I'm hoping it eases up over the next few months. Lewis is the man!

We ordered from Hilltop as well, August 29th..and we live in Sacramento too. Nice people to work with. It'll be worth the wait.
Like you, I called a dozen places, and everyone wants $6k-$10k over msrp, even if you order.

Sure leaves a bad taste in our mouth for the other kia dealers. If we get another kia, will test drive locally, and order from Hilltop again. ;)

I'm currently in discussions with i25 Kia. They are quoting me 4-6 months for delivery of my order. Hopefully, I can get the order finalized tomorrow.

We were told 6 to 9 months. Hilltop seems to be on the smaller end of dealers. So, they get fewer slots. But, we're no rush and they are friendly people.

Got a callback from Elk Grove (ca) Kia the other day. They recieved a shipment of Tellurides and said they would come down to $9.5k over msrp. That's for an EX, black, no other real options (just some mats). We're wanting an SX in Moss Green, prestige, and require the towing package. So many reasons to pass this 'amazing' offer. Leaches.

Funny you say that.

I'm going back and forth with a rep from Folsom Lake Kia. (I initially put my name down for an SX at $6,000 above msrp prior to me finding this forum and Hilltop) He's giving me every excuse or reason in the book of how and why they're at $6,000 over.

My response was "I know there's a supply and demand issue but the $6,000 is literally going directly in to your guys pockets. On top of the built in margin within the msrp and the rebates you receive from the manufacturer. "

I have no problem waiting a few months longer if it means I'm saving that kind of money.

Hi guys, new member here. Thank you all for your dealer recommendations. I've just started to go through the list of dealers within a few hours flight of Los Angeles. One note - Findlay Kia in Vegas informed me that they're not selling cars to people out of state anymore, only to people within a few counties of the area.

Wish me luck!

Order from Hilltop, fly into Oakland/sfo for delivery. ;)
