Order to delivery time

Please check this vin for me. It is missing some add on.

Some options are dealer adds versus factory installed. I found that out today when I pointed out there was no hard cargo mat/seat protector, illuminated scuffs and a few other things..

Mine is missing options like the illuminated scuffs, too. Curious to see if they'll add at dealer.

So, if you see above, you will see my story. Paid 10/10, ordered a week or two later. Rec'd notice of an ETA of 12/17. Shock... More of a shock was that I just got a text that it was on the lot.

Not to sound ungrateful, but I have a vehicle with a lease through 4/1, another 3 vehicles and a bike. I don't want to pay for this to have it sit while I try to eat up the 1/2 mileage I have on my other lease - and it will be too difficult to not drive this. Looks AMAZING!! They will sell it by the end of the weekend, and another will be ordered. So much for 10-12 Weeks minimum - as it was 6 from deposit, 4 from order.

Dealer was very understanding and amenable to the situation. Talk to Halleen Kia, Sandusky Ohio - awesome people!
Oh wow!!!!
I ordered mine on 10/10 as well and was told it would take about 6 months to get it, which I thought was good, because just like you, I have a lease until mid April! My order still hasn’t been picked up by Kia yet! That was my fear of getting it too early, but now I’m praying my order gets picked up in time for me to even get my ride by April.

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

Was your order picked up by Kia? If so, you should have gotten an initial eta.

Have you considered selling your current lease to Carvana or Carmax?

What would you do? I have a Telly ordered at msrp from a local dealer, with an ETA of January 29. A vehicle with the exact specs is on another lot about 45 minutes away, and they had offered it to me at $2000 over msrp before I placed my order. Not interested, thank you, and I respect and prefer to give my business to the dealership that made the decision to sell at msrp. But I’ve been watching the dealer inventory at the other dealer and the car is still there. It’s been there at least since some time in October. It is a less popular combo, Sangria with no Prestige package. They have 32 Tellurides in their inventory today. I’m contemplating waiting until the end of November and offering to buy it for the same out the door price as the one ordered. They may not be interested, but if they are, I need to be prepared to actually pull the plug. But honestly, I hate to bail on the good dealer and support the price manipulating dealer. Should I feel bad? I can wait, but it would be nice to have it two months sooner, and if it gets delayed more than a month, I could run into not having it before going to Florida in March. Any dealers want to weigh in?
Well, end of month, car still in inventory and they lowered the price today to msrp. I called and said I’d drive the hour and bring it home today if they would deal. They agreed to $500 under msrp. Plus there is a small spot on the hood in the clear coat, so they took another $200 off. I’ll get another $100 back on the credit card deposit and $500 back on the financing deal, which we will pay off before first payment due date. So I have a new car today, two months before the order would have come! A7F9F2EA-378C-4FDB-9F2D-E51D40A9AB83.webp

^ Congrats; wouldn't worry so much about the other dealership (should be able to sell it without much trouble).

I'm hoping my Ebony Black will arrive at some point in my lifetime.

A slight setback. My order that was supposed to be for 3 months is now severely delayed. We don't know when it'll arrive but the forecast is not looking good. It may be an additional 3-4 months.

Definitely bummed.

I’m so sorry! This was my fear in waiting for our order, to get delivery before we drive to Florida. Glad we were able to talk the price down on last day of the month and bring one home on Monday!

Ordered mine 1/18/2020. If all goes well, I should have it 363 days later on 1/15/2021. I’m told it’s worth the wait...and I hope they’re correct.

From the Failcat data, it looks like they switched over to 2021 at the end of June.

Any insight would be great!

I've got the exact car we want coming to a dealer that isn't accounted for yet. ETA was 2/28, no VIN yet. They want MSRP + $5k markup.

Other dealer I'd have to order, MSRP and no markup. They are a smaller volume dealer, and the quoted timing they give is 6-9 months. I think some on here have purchased in September and are set to receive their cars this month, but again, they are being very conservative.

What would you do? I hate the markup, obviously, and it's nice to have an actual ETA date (unless correct me if I'm wrong and that's not possible w/o a VIN?). But that's still 2.5 months from now. I really just don't want to be waiting until June/July of next year for the car...

I personally wouldn't pay over MSRP. Dont even like paying MSRP. In this case either wait it out or do a national dealership search and order through them. Itll be cheaper than $5k to ship that in.
