Has anybody checked Failcat on regular basis and knows the typical number of VINS added in a 24 hour period? I have not been looking long since I just recently learned about the website. The first couple of times I checked, the typical average of VINS added for a 24 hour window seemed to be a couple of hundred. There was a couple of days early this Dec where no VINS were being reported. I figured it was a holiday break but lately numbers have been HUGE. I imagine sum of the large uptick in VINS was due to days of zero VINS being reported but I think it was only a couple of days and not a whole week where the site was reporting zero VINS. Just seems odd that ramp up in production is happening now just before the holidays but then again maybe they are pumping them out knowing Christmas and New Years most people will be out? From the last five days its ~ 820 VINS for 24 hours does that sound about right for the yearly average?I was thinking the exact same thing early this month when Failcat was returning zero results for days and then some time last week I checked and it was over 900 new VINS when typically it is less than 200 a day. I got a call this recent Saturday that my car was coming! I checked Failcat that day and found over 1300 new VINS were added in the last 24 hours.
I ordered the SX-P in Midnight Lake Blue with the Blue/Gray interior. I had requested the Self-Leveling Rear Suspension Package but was told by sells rep at Kia dealership that I am buying from that Kia has not made 2023's with this option because they are working out issues. Does anybody know more about this?
12/16/22 = > 900 VINS
12/17/22 = > 1300 VINS
12/19/22 = 515 VINS
12/20/22 = 755 VINS
12/21/22 = 637 VINS
UPDATE
Just found this site kiamedia.com/us/en/sales/bymodel. With total units sold from 2021 as basis for 2022, it would mean average of 1,800 Tellurides a week / 360 day.
