• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The lock mode will not hurt your car if it's not snowing. The car does put you in a locked 50:50 mode but this system uses clutches and so do most cars. They will slip in a turn to make up for the outside wheels turning faster unlike the mechanical locking mechanisms of yesteryear. He is correct that it takes you out of the lock mode above 25 mph and returns you to it once you reach back below 25. It can cause your clutch packs to wear earlier leaving it in lock mode full time, but won't kill the rest of the drive components anymore.

Did you notice how big the host is? He fits well in all but the back row.

First I thought this was an EX with SX interior color and headliner. Then I saw the SX badge and figured it must be an SX with EX wheels.

Then I noticed the disclaimer.

Thanks for the vids, LeRoy.

Yes, looks like an SX Prestige with S AWD wheels. Too bad we can't buy one that way. I would prefer it to the black wheels.

Not a Telluride video, but may be of interest to a lot of people. This appears to be the first English review of a 3.8L Palisade, conducted by a Korean vlogger. He focuses primarily on driving dynamics and not much on interior features, but it’s very well done.

I have my wife sleeping next to me. What is his general consensus of the driving dynamics and features?

Overall, very good. Comfortable and powerful for its size. They clocked 0-60 at 7.3 seconds, about par for the course.
Thank you! 0-60 in 7.3 seconds is really not bad...

7.3 to 100km/hr/ 62 mph...7.0 to 60 mph. Decent, not sure I buy his MPG results 22/31 but if that's accurate its not bad. Cant really get past the front end though, to me its overly busy. Love the interior particularly how they integrate the infotainment system versus the Telluride.

Yeah, the exterior is a deal breaker for me. Just don't like it.

Reviewers haven't really mentioned it but does anyone else think the faux wood feels REALLY FAUX?

It feels like cold hard plastic when I run my hands across it. It gives a really cheap feel. They should have spent the extra $20 to put real open grain wood trim.

Here is an article that has some figures on the Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot and the Ford Explorer for comparison. I am guessing that the Explorer was NOT the EcoBoost 3.5 V6 Motor

It appears that 0-60 7.3 is right in line with the rest of the class.

Here is another site that publishes 0-60 times. It appears that the run what ever they can get their hands on. I do like to see my EcoBoost Flex coming in Sub 6 seconds!

The faux wood is something you really don't touch and is just for aesthetics.. It looks good and that's all that matters. I have it in my Sorento and it's a glossy black type wood grain and think it looks awesome.

Don't they have speed limits in South Korea?
Cornering was nice and flat at his brisk pace.
Also, 0-60, 7.3 was for 0-100km, 62 mph. 0-60 mph should be about 7.0-7.1 which is in line with Highlander and Ascent.
He briefly touched on torque vectoring - front to back. May have vectoring side to side, but suspect it is by braking the inside wheel and not the more sophisticated mechanical non-brake torque vectoring, but okay.
His comparison to his 2007 Veracruz speaks to the durability of the Kia (especially the way he drives) ;-)
Best dynamic Telluride video I have seen to date.

I haven't had a Lexus in a hundred years but they used to put a clear coating over their wood grain and it felt the same as you describe - though it was real. It's a relatively new thing for wood grain to actually FEEL like wood grain in automobiles. I do like it. But the old way was cool with me too...
