• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

@GreekWiz @Kwim Thanks for the advice gents, I will go for that 30/35 (whichever the shop has) to match the rest.

Looks good from the pic

just wondering if any of you guys looked into tinting your Tellurides yet?

I would assume we could just tint the front two windows, as the rest come tinted from the factory. Trying to determine what % would look best.
30

It's been a round a long time, and I thought about using them, but with the Telluride, because they sell so quickly, I figured it was not "worth" it to me. I was looking for a specific color and trim, so it was worth it for me to factory order it and just wait.

However if I was buying a Forte (for example) then yes I would use it. Since there is cars on the lot at several dealers. That said, I am sure you will get the $99 saving back even on a Telluride if you are not picky on color/trim, etc.

There is a few services like UnHaggle in Canada. I can't remember the name of them off hand as I am at work.

If you go to RedFlagDeals, Unhaggle have a thread going where you can ask what the dealer pays for the vehicles, and it's free. The $100 is them contacting several dealers on your behalf to try and get you a deal. Thus why it might or might not work with the Telluride.

[Edit] Sorry did not see Dansta replied above[/edit]

Thankyou for the reply. So Unhaggle cannot get you a price based on exactly what you want? (Ie, color, specific accessories etc) they can just get you a price on the basics (year/make/model) ?

They submit it to the dealers, but in the end they will try and get you a deal with what they have on the lot.

If you have a dealer with what you want willing to deal, then it will work out.

Most times, something will be missing, either interior color, trim, added options, etc.

Obviously the bigger city you are in (or number of dealers you have nearby), the better the chances, that is why Unhaggle is popular in Ontario, and not so much in Flin Flon Manitoba.

New to the forum but have been lurking for some time. I noticed on another thread that in the States, the SX Prestige (non-nightfall) has an incredibly long wait and they haven't even been manufacturing many of them. From what I understand, the SXP in the States is our SX Limited in Canada. I guess I'm just wondering if the wait in Canada is the same as the States for non-nightsky editions of the SXL? I noticed some in this thread getting nightsky versions very quickly. Anyone have luck getting non-nightsky SXL's in Canada?

30% in the front two windows and 80% in the rear and trunk. I didn’t want the rear to get too dark so I got the 80. But I wanted the UV as I believe the windows in the back is just coloured glass and not UV protected.

Beauty vehicle. I was thinking the Moss Green (non Night sky) but with black rims personally

do you have a device to measure? very interesting on the rear windows, in theory from the factory 20-23 + film 20, how much will it turn out? It seems to me not noticeable at all. In general, telluride for some reason has a very light factory toning.

Unfortunately I dont have a device to measure it. Its not noticable at first glance but when you stare at it in person and now what to look for you can tell its darker in the back. My main goal was to get the darkest legal tint in the front which is 30. Back windows and rear is as dark as you want. My sister has 5% percent all around which is crazy. It looks like you are driving at night all the time and at night... hahaha.

Has anyone ordered this or have anymore details on this accessory? Part# is 99997ROSSBA1
Not sure if it’s fully integrated with the infotainment or if it’s your run of the mill Android tablets?

IMO I would buy 2 iPads or android tablets instead of that. That’s a lot of money. I’m not sure how updates are done on those units but Tablets would be easier to update and also be more versatile. My kids love the tablet holder I installed on the back of the headrests.
If I were to do it. I would install two 11” iPad Pros for the same price.

Update on the car I installed KLexus Emblems on my Nightsky. I bought it from the site store here. Went with the plain black on black:cool:

Yeah...I totally agree with that sentiment. I’d just never seen it before and was curious.

@shan.carter you were one of the first to help me here on the forums with the info you got from your dealer out east, and as such had the info I needed to get in on it as quick as I did. Funny thing is my original dealer has still not gotten back to me on when I can get a "Nightfall Edition"....LOL.. what a joke.

I guess they did not like it when I had more information than they did thanks to people here.

As for why I got a VIN number and ETA so quick? My guess is I picked the right color for that week of manufacturing, to the correct part of the country, (a number of things had to align) and thus my VERY quick turnaround.

Update from dealer is that it's still on track to land In Edmonton this Sunday, then 3 days to dealer in Calgary, then hopefully 1 day to prep (adding trailer hitch, 7 pin and brake controller). So my ETA should still be Sept 04, but maybe Sept 08 (due to weekend and long weekend).

Then goes in right away for PPF, Ceramic and tint on Sept 09, and they need it for 2-3 days. so hoping weekend of Sept 11, I can finally have it and drive it.

Did you get the PPF, ceramic and tint done in Calgary?

Yes I did, went straight from dealer to them, and pretty happy with it.

where did you get it done, if you don't mind me asking?

Calgary PPF. Authorized 3M Dealer, and hundreds of good reviews, including from friends of mine.

Right now they have a deal going, get the Radium Package (full front PPF) and you get free Ceramic coating.

I got the Radium Package, since the Telluride has plastic rocker panels anyways, so we don't need the Uranium package I was going to get.

I paid $50 extra for the door jams, and deiced on the Ceramic tint on the front two windows as opposed to the cheaper 3M, just in case I decide to tin the back also for heat reasons.

All told was $1888 taxes included for the full front PPF (plus door pockets), Ceramic and window tint on front 2 windows.. Was best price in the city. I used the south store, call and Caleb the manager will answer

He is VERY well informed, will not try to upsell you and only sell you what you need, but will explain everything to you as well.

Much appreciated! What % tint did you go on the front? I have always been curious about the ceramic/crystalline tints.

@Peezie Those klexus badges are looking good. Might have to pick up a set myself. Did you also overlay the steering wheel logo?
