Canadian 2021 Telluride

@Peezie Those klexus badges are looking good. Might have to pick up a set myself. Did you also overlay the steering wheel logo?

I didnt do the steering wheel logo. I couldnt get myself to pay $30 CAD for it hahaha. I should have though :( I did do the wheel cap overlay. I am hoping they stay on for at least a year on the wheels. Set my goals low so im happy with anything extra

@Peezie Looks pretty sweet, have you considered changing the lug nuts to black ones?

Taking a look at the steering wheel logo again, too bad there isn't a blacked out one.

Much appreciated! What % tint did you go on the front? I have always been curious about the ceramic/crystalline tints.

I told him to match the back as best they could, but err on the side of lighter. I did not want front darker than back.

They installed 35% on the front's so back is between 30% and 35%

I think it came out pretty good and close to the back (disclaimer, overcast day, and not washed)

Are all these just stick on, or do you have to remove the old badges?

Yeah Im going to change them in the summer. Ill use these for the winter tire set up and go get black when I put the summer rims on.

the wheel caps are just stick on. I did use a blow dryer on them just to get the sticky part a little softer as it was cool out. Hoping it would adhere a little better. The front and rear are replacements. The steering wheel is just a stick on overlay like the wheels cap.

I was looking at the front and back and they looked like stick on so obviously wrong ones

Can you post a link?

How hard was it to take them off and install?

Not sure I want to do that.

I got my VIN today !!! (6 months = about time)
Does anyone know how long does it usually take for shipping to CA East.... VIN before shipping to get to Toronto ?
Also those who booked 2020 did you have to pay the diff between the old 2020 MSRP and 2021 MSRP due to the change from the original specs?
Since there is no towing package on CA trim, anyone knows one available from KIA Canada/Dealer? How much?
Did we ever find out that the 7 PIN prewiring exists and or the connector is available (but not connected)

Any inputs to any one of the above is appreciated....

Congratulations. I ordered 20, received 21 under the terms of 20. The dealer had difficulties with the interest rate, but eventually solved the problem. The conditions were met. to install 7 pins, you need to put a regular wire, like a 4-pin socket (4pin prewering) under the car and pull the wire from the battery separately = 7 pins without a controller. here in calgary it costs 500 bucks not from the dealer.

1) Took about about a month from VIN to driveway in Calgary
2) I did not book a 2020, but you will indeed be paying the extra, no one (that I have read) was able to get it at lower price.
3) You can the the OEM hitch from Kia, I had it installed.
4) They do not offer the 7-pin in Canada, just the 4-pin install. I cant say it it's prewired for 7 as opposed to 4, but I really don't know. However, my dealer paid a third party to install a 7-pin and a brake controller for me before it even arrived, but there was a mix up in the parts. In fact I finally got it done today (had to wait for the right parts), just picked it up a couple hours ago, and it turned out great. The brake controller was not mounted inside on my instructions. The quick connect cable for the controller is under steering wheel, and when I need to use it (5% of the time) I can plug in and use, and when not (95% of the time), I can put it in the glove box and tuck the cable away.

I only recently found out about wireless/bluetooth brake controllers, if I had known (or researched more), I probably would have went that way with it, but still happy with it. Least it can't be stolen like the wireless ones.

Just curious, but I assume you ordered a SX-L (Non Nightsly?). I know there is a huge delay on them right now for Canada (and maybe even USA)

Hope this helps.

And congrats.

The emblems came from the store on this site. I should have been more specific. The front and rear are stick on. But they do not go over the original emblems of the car, You have to remove the original. The original emblem on the back is stuck on. The front emblem is clipped on. If you have the regular Telly non nightsky this version of the grill is easy. I have the nightsky and it was not easy. You have to open the hood take apart a plastic trim and IMO you have to take part of the front bumper to get access to the clips that hold the emblem. I did not want to mess with that stuff. Im not comfortable. So what I did was pry wedges between the logo and the grill until I forced the micro sunglasses screw driver between and shoved plastic cards in there. Then I took a bigger screw driver and shoved it in and started prying the emblem forward. Eventually I snapped a clip off the emblem and moved over and broke the next one until all 4 was broken off.

I also started a thread here. Kia Rebadge Nightfall Edition

Front and Rear

Centre Wheel Cap

OK Thanks, yes I had the right ones, but I don't want to break the original, so i will probably just pass.

Thanks.

Just the platic clips at the back is broken. With some 3m tape you can install them again. If I put mine back on you wouldn't even know I removed them.

Are you sure they did not just grab a 3rd party part and install it?

The kia OEM 7-pin was not available in Canada as of last week.

My dealer just preferred a 3rd party to install it, and brake controler, probably some dealer shops would rather keep the money and just use a 3rd party part.

I sent a message to my sales guy to check, but quite possible they finally got 7-pins in from Kia USA

For general info, Kia Canada has a fall promotion on some parts and all Kia accessories, commencing Sept 18 until year-end, including 10% off on all Kia accessories.

Google "kia" and "fallpartspromotion" if this link doesn't make it through:

I was looking at this promo again and was wondering why it wasn't showing up on Kia.ca

Turns out, this was from 2016 based on the dates of the fine print.

Yes I was going to mention that as I found out yesterday as I was trying to get a cooler bag for the screw up with my hitch install but I could not find the original post.

LoL

Talked to the sales manger for an update and he said the factory has our order in the system and its just waiting to be filled. He will have another update next week. I guess I am going to get an update once per week lol

Sorry for the bad post guys - who would have figured kia.ca still had an expired 4 year old promotion active on their web site. My bad - I should have read through all the fine print.

I went back to try to delete or edit my original post (#425 Sept 10) to avoid misleading anyone else, but it doesn't look like this T forum site provides any way to do so after a certain time has elapsed from original posting.

No worries man, none of us noticed it...

I kind of feel better about the discount I got on my accessories now...lol
