Canadian SX Limited - Extended wait times

Exactly what i was thinking as well is using the stock rims for winter tires. Do you mind telling me what you ended up paying for them. Many thanks!
For the rims I paid 310$ per. You could probably get some aftermarket options cheaper than that but they really are good quality I think.

Those do look great! Will be a lot easier to clean than the ones that come stock in the USA too lol. Thanks for all the info!
 
KIA production must be ramping up. I was totally shocked when I got a call my White SX Limited with Nappa and tow arrived yesterday. Ordered 22 July from Kia West Vancouver, Canada. I thought they were going to try and sell me an SX but no it’s the SX Limited with nappa leather

Make 101% sure the Dealer is honest and you're getting model code "TL853L - Telluride SX Limited with Nappa".

The scumbag who took my deposit in May because they had 2 SXL white/white in the compound, called me a couple of weeks ago and told me "your Telly has finally arrived, go to the bank and get the draft for the amount on the bill of sale from May".

Instead, I went to see the car first, and it wasn't white on white?!?! The person who gave me the keys believed "that I had set I'd settle to other colour combinations after all those months". I had never seen/touched the Kia version of Nappa but something wasn't adding up so I took a picture of the window sticker and called Kia Canada. They confirmed that it was the new model "TL854L - Telluride SX Limited" that they added after the Nappa leather recall. This model is MSRP $1000 less list price!!!

Called the dealer and they acted surprised and pretended they were soooo confused. Then had the guts to tell me to read carefully my Bill of Sale where it said "SX Limited". I told them if they are so confused, to give me my money back and call Kia for more training.

They called back in a couple of days and played the "sorry but we thought the "SX Limited with Nappa is the new limited model", we'll send you an updated Bill of Sale. Then they reworked it with a lot of art all around the numbers... and made the bottom line THE SAME!!! I pointed out that what they offered in May was based on MSRP of $53,995 and they are trying to fool me into paying the same for a $52,995 model by fudging around numbers and playing dumb games. First explanation was - "no, Delivery and Destination charges of $1895 are only Freight but Kia charges us extra for PDI, blah blah". On the second pass I got a call from a manager who said they'd fix it all but unfortunately the "bottom line is the same because the 20 years in Canada $1000 discount has now expired". I sent him a screenshot of Kia.ca where it shows under Cash Price "Includes discount of: $1,000".

I just got my credit card charge reversed and I'm personally done with Kia

Good luck and keep your eyes open for extra PDI charge, unexplained membership fees, protection plan you said NO to, new charges like staff training, leasing fees (if you're paying cash), installation charges for towing package which was supposed to be priced all-in....

Wow now I'm really pissed!! Ordered mine in June and then in September asked me to delete the Nappa or I'd be waiting until next year to get one. Subsequently I got my non-nappa version a couple weeks ago. Argggggggggg

How did you get tow?? I was told it wasn't an option in Canada. I see it's available on the US website but not the Canadian one so I believed the dealership. Yet another thing that pisses me off about my dealership.

For tow are you talking about the hitch and wiring? It is a dealer installed option in Canada. Don’t think you can get it from the factory like that. At least mine was dealer installed.

Yes i asked for tow and they said it was unavailable. I didn't care if it was installed at the dealer or at the factory, I just wanted it but apparently I couldn't have it. Do you mind me asking how much you paid for it or was it thrown in his part of your deal?

I was a first time buyer and had order a telluride SXL on April 2019. After all the bull shit and piss poor communication, asked for my down payment back. This was around July 2019.

Thank you Kia Canada for being incompetent and showing myself you really have no idea how to run a business.

Anyways, if a company is telling you would you take a lower vehicle then the one you order, hell no. They tried doing that with myself. Should be ashamed for even trying to sell a customer lower then what they where supposed to have.

Unfortunate experience. I ordered my SXL Nov 15th and I am picking it up this Thursday. Wish we could get the napa leather in Canada, but not end of the world. I was told February delivery. So pleasantly surprised to be picking it up early.

You can get the Napa leather in Canada it's just a longer wait. I ordered it in June and picked up the Limited at the end of September but only because I decided to change to the non napa version. I was told that if i really wanted to keep the Napa that it wouldn't be until February that it showed up... and this was in September.

Dealership told me I could have as well. They just said there is no timetable as to when delivery would be and any dealership giving a timeline is probably being misleading
 
I ordered my Black SX end of November and was told 6 - 8 weeks, will wait till then to give them a phone call. I probably wont get my deposit back as I I'm willing to wait because I'm really disappointed in the hard ride in my 15' MDX.

This is what angers me, my dealership said that they receive whatever the factory sends. It's like our name goes in but it doesn't matter what is on the order sheet. One with my name on it came in without napa and a different colour and they said that if i didn't take it, they would gabe to send it back. Turned out my wife lived thre color so we'r decided to keep it. What i don't get is why I ordered before you but couldn't get napa and was told February yet you got yours in October.
 
I ordered a white SXL/w nappa back in December. The next day I got nervous and changed it to black because I didn’t like the black textured plastic bumper on the white. Got confirmation from the manager that the colour was changed no problem. I called and even went in 3 times just to confirm as I didn’t get a good feeling they actually changed it.

yesterday I got the call that it was in and I was so excited to go and see it I rushed right down to the dealer. As I walked up I saw a black Telly with grey interior and was disappointed figuring they’d messed up the interior. The salesman went inside to see what happened and before he came back out I saw them unload a white one off the truck.

So this piece of garbage comes out and says sorry but I guess we didn’t actually get the colour changed and the white one is yours. I’m so mad and frustrated. I waited for 3 months to get the wrong one and basically it’s take that or wait for at least another 3 months for a new one. I’m done with Kia and done with that garbage dealership. Good luck to everyone that got theirs. I’ll be jealous every time I see one.
 
That really sucks, don't give up yet! The salesman is the a-hole. Just go to a different dealership and order a new one! It's worth the wait. Only 3 faults so far with mine. 1. Can't detect my ipod, but decided to put music on sd card with my phone. 2. Sound system is not the best but I will change that and 3. Cant put up wipers when it snows without putting it in wiper service mode. Also wish I got buckets seats. Nothing that I can't live with. Try again!!!
