Could try this DIY fix by greasing the belt. Some of the commenters on the video said it worked for their new cars as well.OK, as the OP I hate to tell you that nothing has happened, I don't see any TSB about this issue nor any update from other owners. Apparently Kia is trying to ignore the issue since only part of their vehicles is affected by the cold weather. What I can tell you is that Kia is very strict on warranty repairs, I recently have two pieces of plastic trim parts replaced, and I needed to sign paper work for each part the dealership replaced. I guess Kia is not gonna easily admit a problem of which the solution might involve opening the entire intake manifold.
Now we park in a garage so that solves the problem partially though I think it's stupid to say this...
